im a carto and tank guy, but recently watched some reviews on the vivi nova 2.5. i like that its kinda of best of both worlds. atty and carto tank kinda. well so far im liking it, tons of vapor but the flavor of my juice seems a little muted. i hope its just a break in period. im using the 2.4 head at 4.0-4.4 on my provari. question is, im using this setup to sample some 5ml juice bottles i have. im just about done with this fill, how do i go about cleaning the vivi, in order to add a different kind of juice.? can i rinse the wicks and reuse same head?? im hoping to get the most out of this head i have..

1) My cotton is here Kanthal here tomorrow to rewick :)

2) I clean it in water. Toss the head in some alcohol it will strip away the crap and make it seem like new.

3) Fluffing wicks=better TH and flavor

4) It mutes juices! That is a fact! IMO stops it from being the best thing ever. Ruined my 35% VG, delicate flavor DIY. My new DIY is 10% VG and far better. But it will mute some juices a bit, some a lot. Gonna rewick tomorrow and see. It's not just the head break in period.

5) When you strip out the water like using alcohol--it dries the wicks. I've noticed letting them sit in a new vivi with juice for a bit helps with the break in after a wash. It takes a bit for the crappy little wicks to absorb fluids.

I really like the VN.. I didn't at first, there wasn't that pop of flavor that I was after.. but they do get better and better. With cartos, I found they were best the first day..but with the VN, it takes a little while. I've been using this same head (which I installed a premade wick from avidvapor) for over a week now and the flavor it really good. I was beginning to be able to taste the filler in the boges. I too am hoping to successfully rewick my heads. I now have the wire and cotton wick but haven't tried to make a coil yet.. I only have one VN right now and it's performing and tasting so good that I don't want to mess with it yet.

I found that with my latest (rewicked) head, if I start out at a super low voltage and work my way up, I can get the best flavor with higher voltage. My VN is metering 3.3 and I'm vaping it now at 5.3. I started out at around 3.7 or so.

What are you waiting for Donnah! REWICK! I just dusted off a multimeter, but can't try till tomorrow! REWICK! Live on the edge!

I'm going to LOL.. just got my wick in yesterday, boiled it yesterday and now it's dry. Been helping my daughter get her stuff ready to go back to college. Plus, I only have the one VN tank and it's doing so good, I don't want to empty it and put on a new wick. I hate learning new things and trying to get past a learning curve. I like knowing what I'm doing and then getting better at it LOL.

That's what I've been doing. Worked great so far. My mini has had like 5 or 6 different juices in it over the course of about a week and the first head is still going strong and tastes like it should.

If you don't dry out the wick after rinsing, you'll think it's broken for a long while, though. But it seems to work if you just vape through it (I was in a hurry and the light-red juice had turned a dirty brown color after just topping off my full size for several days).
