I was thinking about ordering the eGo Style 900mAh Battery and some of the reviews reviews state that the connector need to be filed down. Is the connector too deep for certain atty's and cartos to make contact? I was wondering if a V2 Shorty might solve the problem. Also, will the new EMDCC's work on these? Regardless, at $9.99 a piece, it seems like too good of a deal to pass up.

Yup, that's why they're at $10.. The center connector is variable on them and some are good and some are off a tad. Didn't seem right to not disclose that and expect to get full price for them. The shorty v2 fixes all evils with them as does a bit of filing.
We also have some small spacers we designed coming in that will pop down into a battery connector to fix a low center pin. Should have them Monday and will ge to test them out.
Unfortunately this problem seems to be common with these type of connectors and batteries by having slight incompatibilites between manufacturers and versions..

Thanks for the response Hoog. Either way, it's worth picking up some to have around. You can never have too many batteries!
I just got 2 of these bats and the V2 Shorty won't screw into it. Stops about half way. Any suggestions? I've not filed the batt yet.
Have you tried a little harder because that happen to me and I just kept messin with it then it went on.
Ya Dale, I just got it with a wrench. Shouldn't be so quick to post I guess. Thank you. I'm still going to file it, the draw is a little loose and I need more vapor. I think these are a tremulous deal. Fiddle with it and don't be quick to post like me. It's an easy fix. I've got one on the charger with the shorty and one without it. The charger must have deeper threading.
Yeah I was kinda scared to screw the v2 shorty to tight in fear of stripping the threads but luckily it worked..........glad you got it on.
Today was "futzing" day. I took off the adapter and took out my handy dandy paper clip. I gently worked it in around the battery post lifting it a bit as I went around. Worked like a champ. Got a connection without the adapter. Now my EMDC carto fits so nicely. I'm styling. Loving the battery, and loving the cartos. I love you madvapes.
