Hi, everyone. Why is it that some juices taste great at 5 ml and terrible at 30 ml? Maybe it was just inexperience... who knows. At any rate, I have 30 ml of perfumey juice and I'm hoping there's a way to salvage it. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for cutting that bitter flavor? Any imput at all would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm guessing it's premade. I had that happen before with a vendor. I bought the 6ml and loved it and then the 30ml was perfumey. It was a tobacco flavor, and I have Flavourart tobacco flavors, so I just added more VG, PG, nic, and cuban cigar from FA because that has a hay like flavor that is not perfumey at all. It did balance it out quite a bit.

Also, some Flavourart magic mask and/or ethyl maltol may cure it. Be careful with magic mask, though and only add 1 drop at a time to test.

What flavor is it?

Funny Halo is one juice I have yet to try, may explain why perfumey hasn't been a problem as of yet!

I would HIGHLY reco getting a sample of it from someone before you commit to a $25 dollar 30ml bottle. I was HIGHLY PO'ed about that until the thought occurred to me to mix it with something else :D

Emily, Dumping it was my first instinct, then I did the math and decided it might suit my juice budget better to try to fix it. Unless I mix like I cook, of course, in which case a vapable juice is out of the question, but I might get lucky and invent some kinda super-solvent or industrial-strength cleanser by accident. Lucky for me I got your PIF -- very tasty stuff!

Redgirl / Blaze, the juice is V4L Cognac (yeah, I know -- I had plenty of warning, just thought this was the exception). Maybe a strong tobacco flavor like cuban cigar might work with it. Seems like sweetening it would make it worse, but I'm just guessing. Good to know I might have some options.

Zbasspro, I'll post this in the DIY thread, too; seems to be a lot of chefs in this group, so I thought I'd start here.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

A couple drops of TA might just do the trick, and possibly just a touch of menthol drops (might sound crazy, but I've saved countless juices with a touch of menthol :D) and a drop or 2 of magic mask.
