juice suppliers take pride in saying that each order is hand mixed to order. lately though Ive noticed alot of complaints about inconsistency in flavors from order to order. Obviously our taste buds change and taste itself is subjective from person to person, but it's got me curious about why it is bad to mix up a big batch of juice and sell it off 10-30ml at a time.

I keep thinking about the juices arriving at my door, several days after its been mixed, and it still needs to sit for a week or so before the juice really comes into its own.

Also. wouldnt mixing larger batches allow for better quality control?

Is there a good reason for not mixing larger batches?

I guess that it really depends on the supplier, the volume of business they do, how carefully (and skillfully) they mix their juices, and how well they manage their inventory. I wouldn't mind pre-mixed juice if it was only a couple of weeks old, but I wouldn't want to be sold juice that was months old. The supplier I order from mixes the juice fresh for each order, and I have found it to be very consistent in flavor and quality. I do though, allow all of my new juices to age a bit before I open them - usually about one or two weeks, so I cannot wait until I'm nearly out to order.
