Just buy a couple of clearos and be happy.

Unless you're vaping something that will destroy the plastic, you'll be fine.

Filling cartos can be a pain, but try spinning them, or shaking them down.

And definitely blow through them after you're done.

Don't the ohm requirements apply to clearos as well?
I see no difference in difficulty filling clearos vs. cartos, but perhaps I'm missing something.

I also need to figure out what this "condom method" of filling is all about. I'm scared to put "filling condom method" into Google, so I'm stalling on figuring that out. For now.

Phalaeo, when you buy cartos or clearos in the future, buy LOW RESISTANCE ones that are SINGLE COIL. 1.7ohm, 1.8ohm or no higher than 2.0ohm for your eGo battery. Be sure they DON'T say "dual coil" or "dc".

But hang onto those you already have. One of these days you'll probably buy a variable voltage battery like an eGo Twist, Vision Spinner, or even a Provari, and those dual coil ones you have will work ok.

Don't get frustrated and give up. There is a lot of trial and error, and a huge learning curve, when you start vaping.

My spidey sense is telling me that this indeed may be where the problem is. I bought the deal as a kit, so it's really annoying they would put together a package that doesn't really work that well.

So.... you say I need single coil cartos... preferably LR. Does LR mean Low Resistance? If so, what does SR mean in the next sentence?

The website I'm looking at has these. My choice for resistances are 2.0, 2.5, and 3.2 ohms. Which should I get?

(Thank you all for your kind responses!)

LR = Low Rresistance (usually anything between 1.5 and 2.2 ohms)
SR = Standard Resistance (generally between 2.5-3.5 ohms)

Do what Pappy suggested and stay with single coils between 1.7 and 2.0 ohms if you're using a standard eGo battery. If you get a variable voltage battery in the future, you can get higher resistance cartos and increase the voltage in the device. The only cartos I buy are 2ohm since they work well with just about any mod configuration.

I just got in an order of Kanger eVod clearos from here: https://ivape.net/index.php/Product-search.html?keyword=evod and I'm quite pleased. They're kinda low on the capacity end, but it just means more refills. The T3's are nice but there's been some quality issues with them as of late.

The eVod is my new go-to when it comes to clearos. They have a 1.8ohm version, best bet for your battery. If you're gonna stick with cartos, like others said stay away from the dual coils, and stick with LR singles.

Thought i'd add, there was a thread that had some info on flavors to avoid if you're using a clearo, in that they'll likely crack it. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos.html

That should at least help in selection of flavors regarding clearo use. I don't think that most tobacco flavors will cause a crack, but I'm not the expert on that as I don't really like them that much.
