Question for Kayfun Lite or Russian 91% Owners

I've got an el-cheapo (Tobeco brand) kayfun Lite Plus clone & the channels are about1/8 inch and not very deep. I modified Rip Trippers microcoil build with 8/9 wraps of (tightly twisted) 30 ga Kanthal on a 5/64 drill bit. Comes out at 1.3 ohms consistently... Cotton wicking with an "S" bend below the microcoil and NO wick in the channel. You MUST saturate the cotton... fully saturated... and NO wick in the channel - keep wick on top of the deck. Saturate the wick w/juice to get it to stick to the deck on top of the channels. I've done mine, my wife's & my daughter's Kayfuns (3 different brands w/different channel depth & widths) Never have gotten a dry hit that way & still using the same coil after 3 re-wickings for about 2 months.
The Russian works on absorption rate. There is a formula for it. Too small, it can't wick enough. Too large, the juice comes in at too high a rate, and cannot rise as fast.
Be careful with those channels.
If you are buying a clone of this RBA, try to stick with HCigar or EHPro. The others work, have heard good things about Tobeco (spelling?) but seems to be more hit or miss once away from those two brands.

I've found that the Russian 91 performs better than the KFL you get a tad bit more out of it than a KFL.
I've owned both. KFL no adjustable airflow that Russian 91 has, makes a slightly better difference you can hit it more if you like airy draws. KFL is restricted. Both are good it just really depends how you like hitting your vaper.
