Question for Mooch!

@Mooch Was going to ask this one on one but these questions should be for everyone to see.

Found some samsung INR 25R batts for a good price from a vendor i generally trust. However, your bench test (at least the only one i saw) the batteries had a green wrap, the ones im looking at have a light blue wrap. Are they different batteries or possibly fake? I can send you a link but Im not sure if I should post it since the vendir is not a listed vendor on this site and im not here to advertise for them, nor hurt their reputation should they be fakes.

My other question is about pricing. Generally when a price is too good to be true the batts probably are not. How low is too low?

The prices im looking at are (in Canadian $);
Samsung INR 25R : $10.99
Sony VTC4 : $11.99
LG HE4 : $9.99

There are two 25R's available, the 25R2 is the blue wrap one that is being phased out by the newer green wrap 25R5. They're very close to each other in performance (links to test results for both are in my my signature). You can check your blue cells against the pictures in my test results post but odds are that they're genuine. I haven't heard about a lot ofcounterfeiting of the 25R's.

Not sure of the conversion rate but 25R's are about $5-$6 US in the States.

That conversion comes close these days. Plus your price ends up being a bit better. Just some of our local vendors are gougers and charge 20 a batt. Kinda maddening if you ask me.

I don't know 'J'... as we've discussed recently, and beautifully implemented by you... "THE ULTIMATE BATTERY CHART" is the go-to reference for them "Group 1" inquiries, and other than the Orbitronic, it's already alphabetical.

That's just not a concept I'm familiar with.
