I've been vaping with the KR808D-1 for 23 days now and it's been great, but carrying around an extra battery or two everyday to and from work is getting a little irritating, so I'm going to make the first of what will probably be many jumps to another vape macheen. I am used to the cartomisers and know the drill of refilling them and all that stuff, so I decided to make the jump to the Ego and get a 510/808 adapter to go with it so I can continue to vape with my current stock of carts.
My question is: Is the power output of the Ego battery about the same as a KR or will it accelerate the "aging" of my carts?
I want the ease of carrying one unit and maybe a cart or two to work, but if it's going to toast my carts, I will have to figure another "change" to make it as cheap a transition as possible.
Hope that makes sense, but I don't want a lot of mods when all I want is the convenience of a long lasting battery.

Someone will be along with experience about the KR808D-1.

I went from a 510 to the Ego. From what I'm told, the Ego runs at 3.2v, so I doubt it would mess up your cartos. The batteries on the Ego last me a good 1.5 to 2 days. I purchased regular 510 cartos 2 weeks ago and just tossed my first one, it never got to a burnt taste, just quit working all together.

With that being said, I seriously doubt the Ego batteries will toast your cartos. It just doesn't put out that much.

About the same voltage, within 0.2 volts, and the atty determines the current, so that battery isn't really an issue.

Now a longer lasting battery, with its fewer time outs to swap batteries, could result in a few more vapes a day and thus help "age" your carts.

Well, the longer lasting charge means it takes longer for the voltage to drop, so it will be like a fresh battery longer.

I'm having a real tough time seeing a down side to this concept...

I don't see a problem either. I've been using the exact same configuration you're considering, off and on, for more than a month. I go back and forth between 510 atomizer and KR808 w/adapter on my TorneGo battery. Both work great, no signs of any problems yet. I don't see any reason to worry.

Vape on!
