Question about condom method safety?

I recently purchased the eGo-T and i cant wait for it to come in a day or so.... but for the time being, i am still vaping with my old Cig2o. I have seen all the videos about using the "condom" method for refilling empty carts but i have been wondering, how safe is it to do? I am slightly paranoid about the whole e liquid getting in the mouth and on the skin because ive heard its not the safest. So my main question is, how safe is this method and should i be concerned about the liquid leaking out into my mouth or getting on my battery and ruining it? I know this may be a stupid question but im all out of prefilled carts and have two bottles of juice here for when my eGo-T comes and i DO NOT want to blow another $20 at my local store for new carts.

I always found the condom method kind of messy, I found it easier to just pop the rubber top off the carto to fill. I never worried to much about getting e-liguid on my hands I just didn't like the sticky mess

I drip into carto and don't loose a drop.
My 2" long carto holds 40 drops.
Add about 20 drops...wait...add 20 more drops...vape till near dry...add 20-30 drops.
I've had plenty of juice on hands and in mouth since 2007...still kicking.
As of late I have not been messy w/ juice.

So your saying getting juice isnt as bad a thing as i believe? Because if thats so, im about to fill up some of these used cartomizers until my package comes!!

I guess it's what your comfortable with if you get it on your hand you can always wash it off, I DIY with 100mg nic juice and I get it on my hands all the time and I just wash it off. some people would tell you, you could die if that happens with that high of mg but I'm still alive. but 18mg 24mg even 36mg as long as you don't get it in your eyes I think you'll be ok

I wouldn't worry at all - fill them up, blow on one end to make sure there's no liquid in the center channel and vape away. You can just wash your hands - anyone who's been a former smoker isn't going to be harmed from some juice on their hands or in/on their mouth. I even taste my DIY (just a drop) to check the flavor.

If you have the filler carts, drip your juice to fill. If you have cartomizers, the condom method works fine.

If I was you with your auto batteries I would be more paranoid about getting juice on the end of the batetry and screwing up the drag sensor.

I don't use the condom method. I use soft-cap cartos and pop the top and drip juice in, then clean up very well.

Newb here, I got 24mg juice on my hands while I was teaching myself how to refill carts. I didn't even get a nic buzz. I was going to the condom method, but it is so easy to just stick a fork in there, pop the top and the spacer out and then add juice that I just have not gotten around to the condom method yet.

Most cartomizers come with a semi-clear rubber cover on each end. The condom method is putting drops of e-liquid/juice in the end of one of the covers (condom) and slowly pushing the cartomizer into the juice so it soaks up. People will often do it on the battery end because they want to make sure the wick gets saturated, and I believe some cartomizers don't have a removable piece on the mouth end. It can be a little messy.

Others drip drops into the mouth end or use a syringe to fill them. It's personal choice - all methods work, the point is to make sure they have enough liquid to soak through, but not enough to leak out.
