You're not boiling the nicotine, you're evaporating the PG/VG/H2O and the nic comes along for the ride which already happens at lower temperatures.
A good rule of thumb maximum for TC is 450°F as the production of potentially harmful substances (though still in very very low amounts) starts to increase there.

Hello everyone, nice to be here. Question: I just read that the boiling point of nic is 477 degrees F. Does this mean that your TC mod has to be set at 477 or higher? I realize this could be a stupid question, but someone needs to ask it? Take care.
Welcome and glad you joined.
I have provided a little more information which might help evaluate the properties of TC.

Liquids start to vaporize long before their boiling point. The nicotine will be carried in the vapour of the PG and VG .
However a similar thought occurred to me.
In cooking you often add booze for flavour and evaporate off the alcohol. So the liquid with the lowest boiling point, the alcohol , is vaporizing first.
When vaping does the PG vaporize faster than the VG which has a higher boiling point.
Any one know?
Or care !
