Question For Those Who Vape Menthol.. Opinions Please

I gave up menthol cigarettes many many years ago but I really think I'd like an occasional menthol vape. I have ordered menthol flavor from 2 different vendors and both smell like Vick's vapor rub. Not my idea of menthol at all but maybe I am wrong. Is this actually going to taste better than it smells if I get the right percentage? Or do I need to go elsewhere to find my menthol vape? Thanks!

I crush up menthol crystals in a zip lock bag and the fill a 30ml bottle halfway with the crushed crystals. I then fill the rest of the bottle up with Everclear. I make a menthol juice with this but most of the time if I have a juice that I just want to kick up a little, I will add one drop to a atomizer full of one of my favorite juices and I like it. I'm sure others who know more than me will come along and help you more but this is just what I do. I also add a drop of Koolada to a lot of juices. It adds the cool I use to get with a menthol cigarette without making it taste minty. I love koolada. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks for your input. I am hesitant about buying the crystals because I am not sure how much I will use it. Nice to know that koolada will give that effect also. I'll give that a try. Thanks again!

The menthol crystals and koolada are both ridiculously inexpensive for the small amounts you need

You can also buy Menthol in PG from TFA (The Flavor Apprentice). I usually use 1 drop per 1-2ml in my mixes.
For some reason, Koolada, even in small amounts makes me cough, so I don't use it.

Use what you have! It does smell like Vick's Vapor Rub, but it doesn't taste like that as long as you use just a smidgeon Start with the tiniest bit you can!

I added a teeny drop from one of those pipettes I never use to 5ml of unflavored yesterday and it was subtle and delicious!

Menthol Crystals are cheap!

Fill your empty bottle half way with Crystals then fill the other half with PG or VG or PGA and shake.

To be consistent, weigh the crystals and pg. I use 2g crystals per 10g pg. I wouldnt recommend everclear or pga to dissolve as I get a nasty alcohol taste occasionally. Ymmv.

That's exactly how I made mine! Then I stuck it in a bowl of hot water to help disolve faster.

Thanks for all the replies. It's not the cost that concerned me about purchasing the crystals, it was having a lot that I didn't need.

I will give what I have a try (a tiny bit) and koolada to see what I think of those. If neither of those do it for me, I shall purchase crystals.

+1 on TFA menthol in PG. Some of my ADV's are my take on a menthol cigarette. I usually do one drop per ml of finished juice after I am happy with the tobacco taste. a bottle of this lasts a LONG time if you do not want to bother with dissolving crystals.
