Question for Vamo owners, It's about the finish but not what you'd expect

First off I am not a current Vamo owner but a friend and I are a little crazy about materials and new devices. My question is I read everywhere that the Vamo body is just coated brass (except the SS version). First off can anyone confirm this to be true and second has anyone intentionally removed the finish to reveal the brassy goodness underneath (if you have and don't post a pic I will be sad). My friend has one on the way and before he goes messing up the finish (that will likely go away on its own) he is wondering what it would look like "naked" if you will. I am also interested because I love the look of brass as much as he does and would buy one just to strip the finish and have a brass VV/VW mod that is not a $260 cyborg.

Mine is wearing down pretty good, I have seen a shimmer of brass here and there But I am going for more the beat up look.

I am talking about bead/soda blasting the entire body the either putting a clear j-wrap on or just doing a satin clear coat to preserve the beauty of the brass.

I am sure it would work, I would worry about the screen and inbetween buttons a little bit though. I had mine when I was sandblasting a little and sure enough sand got under my power switch

My original black chrome Vamo V2 still looks brand new, and I bought it in May. I recently put a J-Wrap on it though, because it's more slippery than the stainless steel V2 I have.

Do you have a v3? If so, how did the j-wrap turn out with the "grooves" in the body?
