Question From A Luddite

Hi Guys,

I've been vaping for 5 years or so. The main reason I quit smoking and took to vaping was I confess, not for my health, but for my purse. As we all know cigs are too expensive and I actually love vaping more than I ever liked smoking.

Anyway, I'm also set in my ways. Except for a brief foray into tanks, I have used low res cartomizers and have been happy. Now, I am finding it impossible to buy cheap Boge cartos so apparently while I have been happily vaping away without hanging out in the vaping community, the world has moved on and there are all sorts of new fangled products on the market. But, most of the new stuff is ridiculously expensive! I'm just a poor girl, I don't wanna buy fancy crap. Right now I am using an Iclear 16 tank and I gotta say it sucks compared to Boge cartomizers. I use a ton of juice (I make my own juice cuz it is wayyy cheaper) and the wicks only last a couple days compared to 2 weeks for cartos.....What gives?

Isn't there a CHEAP way to vape anymore? I don't wanna buy expensive mods, I use these 10 dollar pass-through rechargeable batteries and everything is cheap and hunky dunky....

Any suggestions on a cheap cheap cheap replacement for cartomizers?

If your looking for long-term cheapness an RTA like the lemo probably best bet yes you gotta lay out the $30 or whatever they cost in the states but after that years of pennies for use. Mod wise for ultimate cheapness a mechanical mod with a bit of knowledge available on here you can maintain them indefinitely but if you prefer the safety aspect of regulated look at the 30 watt mods amongst the cheapest to buy but unlikely to last more then a few years.

Well You can either buy many cheap DISPOSIBLE $5-10 kits and $10 a bottle juice or ONE $50-75 dollar Mod and RBA setup and just spend $20-30 every once in a while on DIY juice supplies. Problem it take EFFORT to save money. IF your are unwilling to do the EFFORT, forget about the saving money.

If you are willing to wait 2weeks to a couple months for delivery FASTECH is a CHEAP way to buy Ecigs.. Your basic $10-$20 kit will cost $5.. Just don't buy batteries, you might not get them.

Try the protank 2 or the Nautilus both have a mini version if you want a sleeker set up but all of them will work with your batteries You can find them for around $30 dollars and they have replaceable coils. With the Protank you can rebuild your coils if you choose. Depending on your juice my coils usually last 2 weeks to a month and sometimes just need to be soaked/cleaned and can be used again.

I used cartos for a long time and still have one juice that I prefer using with a boge carto but these are easy and work great. IMHO, much better flavor with most juices.

when i moved on from boge cartomisers I went into the smaller tanks with replaceable coils. Personally I used the kanger aerotank mini (~25$ for tank, ~8$ for 5 pack of replacement coils) which was pretty cheap to use and kept me occupied and satisfied for a good year before I moved onto RDA's/Mods. Vaped that kanger aerotank on a vv vision spinner ego style battery for months even after others have moved onto bigger and better things. You could try the kanger aerotank, but I've heard the aspire nautilus is good as well.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the help! Since I am lazy and happy with my current setup...I make my own juice and just use cheapo pass-through E-Go batteries, I decided to take twgBonehead's advice and I went to DFW Vapor and bought 5 5 packs of their 1.5 ohm cartomizers for a buck a pack...I don't know if they are as good as Boge, but ya can't beat the price. I'll worry about upgrading my setup when these run out....It seems so crazy to me that there are such expensive vape products out there. For almost 4 years I just used a $12 usb pass through with 510 carts and was super happy. I don't need all the fancy pants voltage regulated, digital display, Android-enabled Super Duper Vaporizor Monster Machines! Lol...

And I hate tanks! I've wasted more juice messing around with tanks, cartos are nice and easy...

I just wanna keep vaping for cheap. I can't believe I use to spend $20 or so a week on juice before I figured out that I could buy VG and PG from Amazon for $20 bucks that would last me a whole year, heh....oh well, live and learn....

It stresses the battery. 3.7volt egos aren't too bad with them, but most egos are 3.4 volt. Not trying to scare you, just letting you know...
