Hello! I vape with an Ego Twist and a Vivi Nova clearomizer, and I think it's pretty awesome. Now that I've been using it for a week or two, I'm getting technique down and enjoying it more every day.

I received a free Apollo disposable today (I received two, due to some accident, and will be giving them both to friends), and the vapor amount and throat hit were ideal (the vanilla flavor is also excellent): lots of vapor, no perceptible heat. With my Twist/Nova setup--2.4 ohms and 3.2 Volts--I get good vapor and flavor, but the hit is still a bit harsh at times.

The question: if I were going for lots of vapor and no throat hit, what equipment would I use? It seems that lots of distance between my throat and the coil is a factor. Any advice?

We are one in the same my friend. I use 100% VG liquid (I get 500ml it a my local Health Food store for 13.95). I flavor it with drops i get online, and add NO NICOTINE. I i use a 3ml ViVi nova tank.(I recommend a nice large tank, the VG is thick and needs room to move), and a chrome Young June. The battery is less important. For cheap I recommend an eGo twist, just make sure you get a Variable Voltage, its the best way to get the taste and temp to what you would like. I think that you will find this to your liking my friend,

Sweet! I assumed, from what I've read, that high VG juices don't wick well. Seeing as how you have basically the same tank as I (mine is 2 ml), I assume wicking won't be a problem. Where do you get your flavors?
You can allways buy a little PG liquid to thin out your VG if your not liking how it wicks. I Just started doing my own e-liquid, so I dont have any great reccomendations on flavor vendors at the moment. The flavors I got were from usvaporshop.com, and were verry mild, so im going to get some concentrated flavors when Im out of this stuff. I can tell you that I love the peach, cinimon, and the chocolate. (cinimon-spice+peach= deliciouse peach tea!) If anyone has a good reccomendation for flavors let me know please.

Virgin Vapor sells 100% vg juice, and it definitely has more vapor and less th. Don't bother trying to use the 100% vg in a carto, because it's just too thick, even diluted with distilled water. I burned out three before I gave up. Thankfully, that prompted me to switch to a tank. :) They also sell 50/50 pg/vg. You can try dropping your nic level if you're getting too much th, as well. That's what I did anyway, and it helped.
