One of the things that I've noticed since joining ecf, and reading the new members board, is that it is quite common to have to recharge the large capacity (900-1000 mah) eGo twists and spinners after 6-8 hours or so. I haven't had that problem. I bought a 900 mah eGo twist a few weeks ago, have used it/recharged it probably 20 times now, and I've yet to have to recharge it before I go to bed.

This morning, I attached the new 2.8 ohm atomizer from my vivi nova for the first time, and turned the voltage to about 4.4V and have been almost chain vaping it since then (almost 20 hours now). Did I just get lucky and get one with great battery life, or is this normal?

The reason that I ask, is that I'm thinking about maybe getting a 1300 mah spinner or even a Provari, but if it will work this way for a few months, I don't see the need to.

That is really good battery life, especially for chain vaping, I guess you should be happy with your Twist. I get really good battery life also, but I rotate about six different device, so none get used really hard. I have a Spinner 1300 mah and I am very happy with it, but I don't think if I used it extensively that it would last me 20 hours. A general rule of thumb is 100 mah = 1 hour, however that is very general and real life use varies according to how much you vape, and what resistance your juice delivery system is.

Having another battery for backup is always a good idea, with the battery life your getting, another device like the 900 mah Twist would seem a good choice. As for the Provari, I would wait a little while to make sure that you are going to continue to vape, not a knock on the Provari, but they do cost a lot for someone is new and may decide that vaping is not for them.

My old 900-1000mAh eGo batteries never lasted 20 hours... maybe 10-15 at most? Luck or whatever it is, you hit the jackpot with that battery! 1300mAh sounds more like it'll last an average of 20 hours.
