I really can't recomend using a laptop for charging. The USB output is not up to the demands of the battery. IMHO.. Use a wall charger and see if it helps. And yes a Lot of new chargers are junk from the start.

Lol, might not be a all day vaper yet like some of us. I was excited that my first 650 lasted me 2.5 at the start! Now I exchange it out for another after 3-4 hrs.

So very very true. I get maybe 3 hrs out my 650 and only use it when going out.

I tried a wall charger and it hasn't helped. That's why I was asking if it was ok to use my much stronger iPad wall charger.
I would think so. But I've been wrong before. I've used my Iphone charger a few times and didn't have a problem with it.

just for the heck of it, I charged my 1100mah on laptop still took 21/2hrs. do you have an ego charger or just a regular 510 charger. I do remember when I got mine I accidently ordered the 510 charger and it was taking about 5 to 6 hrs.
Yup!!! They gave me the standard 510 charger it only outputs 150 mA. You've solved it! Thanks!
You might consider doing a few extra searches on PC Port usage -- quite a few people have fried their ports and now stick to using the wall-wart. Just saying......
