Question on adjustable 510

I am having quite a difficult time adjusting the hex screw on the new 510. It seems that the set screw is is so very loose that screwing the Odin on the connector will change the placement of the adjusting screw. Then electrical contact gets broken and the atomizer won't fire and has to come off to adjust the screw. The only fix I find is to set the atomizer up off the catch cup and cranking the atomizer very tight, which I don't think is intended. I must be missing something because the process of adjustment is more difficult than it should be. Is anyone else experiencing a very loose hex screw and adjustment changes?
I like the stainless steel and the feed tube set up of the new 510, but, so far, I prefer the use of O-ring adjustments of the older 510.

I've got one on order so will know for sure in a few days. But in general yes you need some torque between two threaded objects to keep either from moving. The trick here is to get enough to hold without too much that will damage the gasket.

You have to use a little pressure this is they way its suppose to work . No need to wrench it down but once you have it set up it wont move . I am running a couple of these and so are the guys in the shop .

Yes, the hex screw threads are small, I have wondered how much torque the threads can take without damage. The screw is also rather loose in the socket so there isn't a great deal of lateral support for the threads. I can see easily messing this thing up and if my problems come from my own ignorance of how to make these adjustments, I'd hate to mess up so I am sitting tight (rather than twisting too tight) waiting for advice.

I got two of the new connectors - both were snugged all the way in when they arrived. Once loosened, they screw in and out quite easily.

I've had no issues making atty connection - quite the opposite, actually. I have one atty that will not screw in far enough to make contact on any reo with the previous connector, but these new 510's are able to adjust far enough so that I can use it. That means I have it quite extended with no firing fail or other issue.

I may well be overly cautious. These may be Hoople-proof but CMD-Ky proof may prove more difficult.

Your not going to break this 510 connection . I will post a video shortly

Houston we have a problem ok because you and another customer were having some issues I went and started testing some mods . I am finding the set screw is moving on some mods . This is making it very difficult to adjust the atty hole . After some testing I found its from the second batch of set screws I received from the machine shop . Wouldn't you no that was the the bulk of these 3800 of them . I will make a bunch of these up next week and send out a replacement to anyone that is have a problem . I apologize for the aggravation . It will take a few days to get the stock but I should have them ready by the end of the week

This is our 2 we got, every time he (Jetboat) does an adjustment & then puts rm2 back on, it moves back to the position it was in. It does it on both our new ones.

How do I know exactly if my screws are from the bad batch. I'm waiting for 2 Reos to reach greece with the new 510. Do I just screw an atomizer down and look for easy play of the positive screw? Thanks.

I have told people that I have a Reo because it vapes great, it is nearly indestructible and the manufacturer supports it if there is a problem. Here it is - the support. Thanks, Robert. Your attention to my problem is noted and very much appreciated.
