Thrash, would you give the model number, and a picture of these batteries so that people don't get the wrong ones and get into trouble, please?

Disclamer:
The provari recommends to use only AW batteries or you MAY void your warranty, I in no way endorse or recommend you do otherwise, just something to keep in mind if this is something you are worried about happening.

with that being said these are probably the top performers available right now for the provari and I use all 3 with no issues.
Batteries : Panasonic High Drain NCR18650PD Hybrid 2900mAh Button Top

Batteries : Panasonic Hybrid/ IMR CGR18650CH Button Top

NCR18650PD - New NCR18650PF - High Drain Panasonic 18650 2900 mAh Li-ion Battery free shipping from Florida

the 2250 while being a good battery is getting phased out for the PD/PF models and really see no reason to buy any unless you just stumble across some ridiculous deal somewhere

Thanks for putting that up.
I am trying a pair of http://www.orbtronic.com/batteries-chargers/high-drain-18650-2900mah-ncr18650pd-hybrid-li-ion-battery-button-top-panasonic-orbtronic Now.
They seem to last a bit longer than my old AW !600 did but I am trying to remember how long these AW's lasted two years age so it's hard to say. They only make through half a day now. The panny's are lasting over a day on my provari at about 7.5 watts just as the AW's used to when they were new. Now the question is how many years will they continue to perform. Other IMR's I Have tried didn't make for six months before I had to change them out a couple of times a day

I concur that Provape recommends using only the red AW IMR high drain batteries, and in fact says so at least 3 times on the product description. The Provari was designed around this specific battery after extensive comparison tests of the available batteries at that time.

However, using another high drain brand will not void the warranty. What will void the warranty is using magnets on a flat top battery to allow it to work in the Provari. So if you do not use AW IMR's, at least use another IMR or hybrid which are button top.

The green hybrid Panasonic NCR18650PB and PF batteries will look like the above battery. Do not mistake the green Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mAh with these, as they are not a "high drain" battery, which the Provari requires.

I also have one of the grey Panasonic CGR18650CH 2250 mAh batteries in rotation with my four AW's. I've not noticed any longer battery time with this battery in comparison to the 2000 mAh AW's.

These Orbtronics are actually rewrapped Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900 mAh batteries.

Yes that's where I bought them. I am buying from Orbitronics now instead of AW because they seem to be more upfront about the source of their cells. They also have as good or better reputation as AW.
