When I purchased my first e-cig (a Joye 301), the seller showed me how to drip a few drops onto the metal comb-like part of the atomizer, and it seems like this is preferred. But the JC website says:

"Bypassing a cartridge and dropping Smoke juice directly onto the atomizer. Johnson Creek Original Smoke juice strongly advises against using this method."

I'm not saying one is more right than the other - I'm trying to figure out what's up. What should I do here- I don't even know how one would use the juice without dripping, since we have no cartridges with cotton or anything like that. Thoughts?

BigBrother--Some say that dripping shortens the lifespan of the atomizer due to residual build up on the coil and that dripping leaks into the batteries on some models and causes the switches on some models that are not closed to fail. I no longer adhear to the theroy about shorter lifespan due to the cleaning method I employ and I used closed ended batteries ---so drip away---it is all a matter of preferance.

The disclaimers about dripping on the atomizer bridge are just that, simple disclaimers.
They are obviously meant to protect the vendor from people who drip way too many drops.

And make no mistake, if you drip too many drops. for your atomizer, it will flood.
And if you drip even more, then you might gum up your battery.
And things only go downhill from there.

But yeah, if you have common sense you really can't screw up a battery by dripping.
But if you have a sealed battery (manual) then this isn't even a concern.

Ok got it. Now I know you can go forum-crazy by reading everyone's opinion on everything, but there is a lengthy thread where people are saying their JC juice clogged their atties (look at me use the lingo :)). Do you all know if, with this system (Joye 301) and 2-3 drops per smoke, if this is a likely outcome?

Sometimes my atties drop in performance and I then clean them. I have never had a case where I couldn't clean my atties. I have used juice from about 5 vendors including JC.

Many ways to clean atties. I mainly use distilled H2O. Sometimes hydrogen peroxide. Sometimes Everclear PGA. I have also accidentally cleaned carbon from coil by 15 second accidental dry vape when button got pushed till I smelled smoke (Don't try this at home).
