Mind,
I have to say that when I first tried CE2's they were horrible. I contacted Rob at Happyvaper (where I bought them) and he told me to dry burn them first before use and they improved dramatically. (Although I'm still not a big fan, I prefer bottom coils or dual coils)
Netter:p

It depends on the CE2s, but for the most part, I've found that regular CE2s need to be modded before they work to my level of acceptability. That said, I just got some Vision Extremes from CanVape, and I have to say, these are blowing me away with their out-of-the-box performance. Even without modding, these things are performing shockingly well. They may be the first CE2 I've tried that are completely satisfying without any modifications at all. I'm seriously impressed with these so far, even though it's only been a few hours, but I'm gonna put these through the paces before I do up my full review.

The eGo-T atty is easily cleaned once you have done it once. You need a set of slim, heavy duty tweezers with loop handles to pop out the piercing plate and you can stick it back on the tank and insert the tank to re-seat it. The plate is a press fit and it pops out and goes back in easily. The video below demonstrates how the cleaning process is done. Vicki owns Cignot, a major supplier in the Chicago area.

Thanks, this vid will help, I have extra tanks for now and at the price of them I'm just leaning on the side of supporting the dealers. In my spare time I will give this a shot too.

I'm glad you figured it out, onename. At least all your juice isn't dusty :) I hope you can get the Extreme fixed up. I want to try out the Extremes once I get a pv that can handle them, so thanks for the link to the video to mod them, I'll keep it handy.

I do believe the Extreme is a great piece of equipment and do think the coil is fowled along with the juice as well playing a factor... See my comments below.....

Mindfield, yes the Extreme from Canvape are awesome and very very enjoyable to vape on, The mod was done to create more vape but now in hind sight I thing it is my juice that I first purchased from another source that has fowled the coil plus is giving me that taste I speak of.

After trying the MLV all yesterday then once I got home I put the other juice in the eGo-T and YUK YUK YUK, I do believe that the juice that I first purchase is just plain ole crap..

You don't realize the quality differences until you go to different sources and that of course is my learning curve.

I also receive my package from Canvape yesterday and tried out the Smoketech - holy crap, I love that unit too!

So, lessen learnt here is quality juice and fowled coil.

Oh yeah, there's a learning curve to just about everything in the E-cig world, especially learning which juices are good and which aren't, and the ways in which juices can be bad. Although they've solved this problem now, Crystal E-Liquid (then still a single unit with Electronic-Cigz) juice almost all tasted like Pine Sol to me. With the exception of the Bold Coffee, every other flavour I got from tasted like Pine Sol, it was utterly revolting. I thought it was me at the time, but no. It was definitely the juice. They're much better now that they've reformulated their juices, but man, that was a terrible experience. Then there was the time that I bought a bacon vape ... but I have no one to blame but myself for that one.

Good to hear you've figured out the source of the problem though. A good cleaning and I think that Vision will vaporize again just fine. :D

Yup, big fan of the tanks, too. Testing out the 2.5ohm DCT carto in one now. Lovely, lovely 6 volts... (well, 5.7 is as high as I can push it for some reason, but still.)

Setup,
  • Visions Extreme v2 tank (modded)
  • VV, battery
  • Juice - one month old
OK, I'm finding that when I vape my vape tastes like dust in my mouth?
Is this a result of the juice or just a new thing to me as I'm vaping now?

I have tried all volts and get same taste.

TIA

I've mixed a couple of very similar, good tasting juices only to have it taste like crap after.

Also, I have one RY4 that smells like dust or something else, it took me a while to identify the smell but it's more like when you use the steamer function on an old iron.
