I got some more vape mail from Canvape today. Three more Stardusts and a bunch of Boge LR's. I love them too, and though no expert, performance wise I'd be hard pressed to say which gives better vapor, or flavour etc. Perhaps a slight edge to the Boge LR. But easy of use, filling and the fact that you can see how much juice you have left, the Stardust is the clear winner. No pun intended.

This leads me to my questions. I do know how to fill the Boge, but how much juice does it hold. My guess is about 1ml. But of course I don't know if it goes through juice at the same rate as a Stardust. I imagine running it too low or almost out would not only taste really bad, but might burn some filler thus ruining it. I really don't want to do that!

Second question is when not in use for a period of time, or just overnight, should you put the condoms back on to seal it?

Yes, should be about 1ml of juice. usually I fill with the condom method and fill the condom about 2/3 full.

You definitely don't want it to dry out. Keep on top of it and it will last long......this is why people (me included) use carto/tank combos....so much more convenient.

Yep, put the condoms back on. I've saved cartos that way for several weeks.....take them out and the vape just as good....still wet.

No need to put the caps back on. Your right about not letting it get to dry. I use a drip tip ( for easy cap removal) and top it up with a few drops every couple hours or so.
Stardust will also last longer as the boge filler gets pretty funky and gross after 4- days to a week. Don't worry about cleaning the boges...just throw them out and start fresh. Not worth the effort, and they don't really work the same after cleaning.
Stardust however, quick rinse and dry burn...good to go.

I would say it you like the boge better (I know I do) go with them. You can top them off from time to time and keep vaping it for a good while (expect a bit of a mess every now and then when you over fill) or all I do is cut a slot in them with a dremmel (see YouTube. Sorry no link) and use a tank. They are shorter than most tanks but all you need to do is shorten the tank. I have a couple stardusts hanging around aswell but they are more of a back up. With the edition of the tank you gain a easy fill and a visual cue of the level of juice you have left.
If you prefer the stardust then by all means, I'm not here to tell you how to va

The Boge 2.0's give a great vape but do go through juice pretty quickly, so topping off regularly is the key. I normally use XL dual coils which hold about 1.8ml and since each coil doesn't run as hot they're harder to burn, but the Boge's give off a bit more flavor in my opinion for some juices. Now I have one XL 1.5 ohm dual coil going with menthol and a Boge 2.0 going with other flavors. The Boge's are so cheap and convenient it's easy to keep another full one with you as a spare. I'm a little too rough on my setups to take a chance on tanks.

The Stardusts go through juice waaaaaay faster than the Boges so you will enjoy your juice lasting longer with them ;) You will get a different taste when the Boge begins to get lower, and instead of asking yourself "Did that taste funny or is it just me?" and trying another puff, just refill it, you'll thank yourself later :) I've never put the condoms back on when I'm not using the cartos, and the juice doesn't evaporate out of them or anything. I've left cartos for weeks and months and then vaped them again with no issue.

440BB: Get yourself a Sub tank from Mom & Pop Vapor Shop. They're fantastically rugged. Pbusardo did an experiment about the amount of pounds of force it takes to remove a carto from a tank and the Sub came out on top with other 4lbs of force needed. Meaning that the carto will never, ever slip, slide, come off, or leak. They have a unique and convenient filling port with screw. It's unique in that no matter how loose you have the screw, it will not fall out/leak juice around it because of how perfectly well it fits and "bites" the tank. My boyfriend and I have 2 Mini Subs each and we've dropped them numerous times on pavement, concrete, hardwood, etc. with no harm no foul. They'll also handle juices that others typically can't with ease. Just a suggestion :) Edit: Oh yeah, the bonus is that they're under $10 without carto and just over $10 with, so if you get one and are really are that hard on it, it's only $10. Though I don't think it's breakable by normal or even abnormal use LOL

I was a bit premature in my assessment of Boge LR vs Stardust LR. After about 6 hours with the Boge, topping off of course, I'm liking them better than the Stardust. I have compared the same juice in each one and the Boge has more vapor and a different but not really stronger flavour that I prefer. The vapor seems more dense too if that makes any sense. It's not just the amount of vapor.

So, the Boge wins except for easy of filling, convenience, and you can see the juice in the Stardust. In all other categories it's the Boge all the way.

I'm loving both, so while I feel the Boge is giving better production, it's a win win. Can't beat that.

I agree. The stardust is a nice backup and a good way to try flavours without dripping. But they can't beat the vapour performance of a carto.

I like to Boge's , and it feels like I am getting more of a throat hit and warmer vape with them than the stardust for sure.

Now that my stardust is working better, I like the amount of juice it holds and being able to see when I need to refill, and I am finally getting a vape worth keeping it in my case, where before it just sat on the table with juice in it, with me trying it here and there.

ChelleyNelley what are your thoughts on Boge vs Kanger horizontals? If I remember correctly you thought the Kangers gave warmer vape?

I find the Boge 2.0's to be the ones I keep going back to, they're just so simple and reliable.
My 510 stock carto's are flavorless and cold.
My LR Stardust is giving me a consistent burnt taste at 4v on my fatboy (watts too high maybe/break in?).
My DCT needs more fiddling with the hole as the vape is weak atm.
My 1.2ml clearomizer makes great taste/warm vapor but occasionally scalds my tounge, dry hits, floods, fussy.
My bottom coil clearomizer is in a constant state of flooding and seems to need some serious voltage to work proper, occasionally pumps a blob of hot juice up to annoy and injure.

The Boge 2.0 just keeps pumping out great vapes, only needing an occasional top up, I am curious about the Kanger horizontals though and will likely try them soon.

They give a warmer vape, no doubt about it. I tested a 2ohm Kanger vs. a 2ohm Boge and I could push the Kanger from 3v-4.5v, with the Boge I can't go past 4v before it starts tasting incredibly burnt. At all voltages, the Kanger gave way warmer vapor which is very satisfying to me. Regardless of voltage, the Kanger also gave an incredibly smooth and punchy flavour. Overall I am extremely impressed with them and have ordered some more. I thought that I would use Boges forever, and while I still think they're great, I will admit I personally prefer the Kanger now that I have tried it.

See and I am the opposite. I'm not a huge fan of the kangers. I can take a boge and use it at 4.2v on the LT and get a great vape (which is what I'm doing right now). It's actually the same vape that I get on either of my reo's with a freshly charged battery.
The kangers I just didn't really get into them. I tried 1 and just didn't find the vape all that good, I actually found it cooler than a boge.

Right now all I use on either of my reo's is boge 2ohms or smokthek 1.7s.
I've even used one of the smok 2.7's on the wopdvil at 6v (man that's one heck of a vape!)

That's why everyone should try both. I prefer kangers.

Agreed.

When I started vaping I used 808 kangers horizontal and vertical. After I got on a huge ce2 kick and until about 4 or 5 months ago I didn't touch polly filled cartos. Now I freaken love them!

If you can afford to get a pack or a couple of singles of each and try em out. See what works best for you on the setup you have

How is it possible that you find it cooler? If I and the person who gave me the Kanger can say without a doubt that it's way warmer? Vaping is weird! :p

I just do dear. The only thing I find that has super hot vapor is a ce2 with a donut ring mod running at higher voltages.

But that's just me. And that's the whole problem with vaping
