i finally got my replacement parts for a non working kit, now, the atomizer came with a little white plug at the end of it, take the plug off, and its wide open and you can see inside the atty, does this plug have a purpose?

I'm not sure of the "plug" you speak of. This may be something new. The older atomizers were shipped with an empty cartridge body on them for protection. They may have switched to a plug.
In either case, it's most likely for protection while in storage and shipping. Any part that is shipped will need to be protected from damage during shipping. Such as light bulbs have various cardboard sleeves on them so they don't get broken.
Any company will use the cheapest protection for a product, because it costs them money to produce these plugs or sleeves and they don't charge extra for them. As in any shipped product, the packing is discarded after you open your package.
You may want to save these "plugs". There could be an alternate use for them in the future.
