1- Question on 18650:
If I remember right, Panasonic NCR18650PD and NCR18650PF are using safe chemistry and are high drain. Are they still the best for the money?

2- Question on 18350:
I need some 18350 batteries for vamo and itaste SVD short mode. May I ask which battery is best for this?

I am using them on VW mods, Vamo and itaste SVD.

Thanks in advance.

The Panasonics are safer chemistry and both are good. I do however prefer Sony VTC5 over these for the added run time I believe they give.

I use AW 18350 and 18490s. They are IMO the best batteries in those sizes you can get.

Thanks guys. Can I have more questions? Hope they are interesting for more discussion.

I found that Sony US18650VTC5 3.6V is 2600mAh while the Panasonic NCR18650PD and PF is 2900mah, and is $3.5 each cheaper if that matter. Would you still consider the Sony US18650VTC5?

This thread must have gotten lost.

The Sony's 30 amps continuous discharge rate would be overkill for a regulated mod that doesn't need that many amps, and has less mAh (2600 mAh) which means less battery time.

Regulated mods (DNA mods excluded) only need 10 amps continuous, and the Panasonics both have more mAh (2900) for longer battery time. I'd go with the Panasonics in this application.
