I have always used a mini nautilus so don't know to much about sub ohm. Was thinking of getting a kanger subox. Everywhere I've read people seem to use high vg when sub ohming. I have always preferred higher pg.
how does the subox perform with high pg? Would it be to thin and leak.
I believe pg carries much more flavour than vg ?? I know vg with sub ohm would give a good throat hit like pg but would you lose flavour ? Anyone help

I sub ohm with 50/50. The high vg is liked for clouds, but yes, PG carries more flavor. I get decent clouds and flavor. I sub ohm on rta's and rdas, typically between .9 and .24, because I find the sub ohm vaping more satisfying than tootling. No leaking off my stm with 50/50. Wicks ok with high vg as well. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the kanger, but it's a decent starter in sub ohm dabbling!

Sub ohm tanks are generally designed to produce more vapor, if you vape high pg with big vapor you get a big throat hit. High VG give you less of a throat hit. I like 75/25 or 70-30 vg/pg I find it a good medium for me.

I like a 80/20 or 70/30 VG/PG vape myself. I like a airy intake as thats how the flavor hits me. Low airflow with any VG/PG gives me almost zero flavor.

We are all differrent. Ya gotta find what works for you. Everyone that tells you the best way for flavor is wrong cause they ain't you.

If what you have satisfies you, then keep going. If you feel like its lacking, just not doing it , like when you moved from a starter kit to a nautilus. Then I'd suggest looking into sub ohms but I would suggest a dripper to start with. High vg on a dripper compensates for the lower pg. I would just start reading up on ohms, batteries, mods and such before you buy anything.

It's also a different type of addiction... questing for the perfect vape

I just don't understand how more and more vapor is a better vape. I've tried it. I get more throat hit and flavor from a carto tank than a subtank. Must be something about blowing clouds...

I actually like variety. I love my Kayfun (clone) and use it quite a lot. Say 30%. In general though I'm reaching for a dripper. All on tubes.. because for one, that is a much smaller profile than any tank on a regulated mod pretty much no matter how mini they make it. I don't really care about clouds so much... don't don't care either... but for me it's about flavor. Can't beat a dripper IMHO

Or... new vapers don't know about that, because it's not blasted at them from every reviewer.

This is probably the case, along with the never ending quest for more clouds. If cloud chasers would just work on their cardio they could blow clouds with conservative setups...
