i have a flight coming up soon. i was wondering how I need to travel with my vape gear? I am planing on taking lots of DIY juice, 8 18650's, a cuboid, tube mech, charger, and a couple of rda's. i did a search and it sounds like I need to carry everything on but not quite sure.
Any help on clarification will be much appreciated. I am on a tight budget and i can't afford to loose or replace anything.

Don't pack it in your checked luggage. Put it in your carry-on indeed. Security might check your carry-on after you go thru the checkpoint but that's normal.
For your DIY juice, I had empty bottles of store-bought juice which I kept specifically for transferring my DIY into those bottles just to be extra safe because any liquids which don't have labeling could be suspect to being confiscated/discarded.

The main thing are your batteries. Li-ion batteries are to be in your hand luggage nowadays, preferably in a battery box. Liquids & heavy gear definitely go in your check in luggage.
I travelled half the world and they never made any remarks about liquids. I always have at least 2 x 100ml diy in my suitcase and I generally just drop it my sanitary bag together with my toothpaste and shaving gear.
I use a cheapo mini ego with a 2 ml tank which I carry on me for a transfer and when I can have a quick stealth vape in a toilet or so. Customs never made a fuzz about it and if they do, they can keep it, just cost me 5$ at FT anyway.

You do however want to check your destination's attitude towards ecigs. In some countries they are illegal.

I just returned from Mexico yesterday and flew with Frontier. I packed my juice in my checked bag (4 ea. 30ml bottles). I packed my spare batteries (in plastic battery storage boxes), tanks (empty), atomizers, mods, etc. in my carry on bag. I also had an Istick 40W TC and did not take it apart.

I had absolutely no problem.
