Okay, I totally understand that the batteries have a life span (can't believe how fortunate I've been with mine! Sign of another great product!). However I didn't think that would apply to the wall chargers but ... maybe I'm wrong? Just seems like they aren't charging up my batts like they used to. If it weren't that I have two relatively new auto shorties, I would think that it was my older batteries finally wearing out but I just don't know. I do understand that the shorties have a ... well, shorter battery holding power but it just doesn't seem like they are holding up like they should either. Anyway, just wondering ... does anyone know if the wall chargers will eventually lose their ability to charge properly? Guess it's probably time I really did some upgrading on my hardware finally! Of course I couldn't do that without ordering a few more cartos, right? Especially that watermelon!! OMG! Those are GOOD!!!

And I forgot about my PCC. I mean, doesn't everyone usually have 4 or 5 batts charging at once??? on a power strip? in the bathroom?

*blonde head toss*

I'm going to have to take a picture of my desk for you. 4 wall chargers charging, 2 usb chargers charging and 3 PCC's. I am terrified of not having a charged battery one day!

Wow, lol. How do you keep track of how much charge each one has? Is there a box or soemthing that you toss the charged ones in or something?

This isn't probably good for the battery, but I charge mine in the PCC or wall charger when I'm away cooking or something. If I come back and it's not charged yet, I just plug in the USB PT until it's done. I only have two shorties and ordered an extra VK normal battery this morning for my wife. This is the trasitional phase for us, but I absolutely love vaping now, so I might have to pick up some more. Love the shorties! :)

With any rechargable battery, they usually say to completely discharge the battery before recharging it again if it's not working right or holding the charge. Not sure how to do that with these, but maybe it's the same.

This also brings up a question. In this topic, it says to charge it for a full 8 hours prior to vaping. I know there's probably been some battery changes since the post was made, but does this still apply? I plugged in my spare while I vaped with the semi-charged battery and now I'm a bit worried.

There is a post on ecf somewhere that says that li-ion batts have NO memory. Doesn't matter if you fully charge or discharge. I think it states that it's more important to not leave them in the charger for extended periods of time.

I'm having the same problem with my 2 wall chargers - they seem to be getting wonky after several months and it takes longer to charge up my batts (brand new batts too). So I think I'll have to eventually replace them; fortunately they are not too expensive.

The premiums do drain batteries substantially faster - their current draw is higher.

The batteries do not need to be charged for 8hrs. There is no noticeable memory effect over the service-life of the LiIon we're using. Discharging and recharging is great - if you're using 20 year old battery technology. We're not. ;) So it's just not helpful.

I'm not sure by what mechanism the charger would wear out in such a way that it wasn't delivering a full charge. Leaking cap, maybe? [shrug] I don't see it being very likely. Either the battery is nearing the end of its service life or you're drawing more power from it...

Sweeeet. Now if my carts would last just as long, I'd be happy, lol. I know I should be pacing myself, but I've gone through two already. 8-o
