My sweet chrome shorty suddenly refused to cooperate with my wall charger. No blinking LED, the charger light doesn't change to red, nothing. Everything was fine for three weeks, and then--it just won't do it. I tried unplugging the charger from the wall to reset it, I let the battery rest overnight, I tried talking to them both, nada. The wall charger works fine with my other batteries, but the shorty will only charge on my USB charger. Does anybody know why this is happening?

It could be that the battery's center post has gotten pushed down a bit and doesn't make contact in the charger.

Try putting a pin (a push-pin works well) through the little air holes. Dig the point into the center post and pry down on the pin to push the post up just a smidge. You'll probably have to do it on both sides to get it even.

Be very careful not to lift the center post too much or it may loose connection.

Hope this helps.

Happened to me too, and I just cleaned it up even tho it didnt look like it needed it. And when I cleaned the inside of the battery with a small piece of tissue it all worked fine again.

Thanks, Paw, I tried pushing the post up a bit but it didn't help.

Thanks, clownfish, I put the battery end in some rubbing alcohol, I'll let it sit for a few minutes and I'll report back to you. The funny thing is, it works with my USB charger, and my wall charger works with my other batteries. O well, at least I can charge it. I was just curious... I'll clean the wall charger too... I'll let you know.
