Question regarding ohm's law

Well I am using a kanger subtank on a aspire sub ohm battery currently using the .5 ohm coil but I was wondering if it would be okay to use the 1.2 ohm coil supplied by kanger on this battery as well.

I'm pretty certain those just put out battery voltage to the atomizer, so it should be perfectly fine. Your wattage will be lower because you're increasing the resistance with the same battery voltage.

At 0.5 Ohms:

4.2 / 0.5 = 8.4 Amps
4.2 * 8.4 = 35 Watts

At 1.2 Ohms:

4.2 / 1.2 = 3.5 Amps
4.2 * 3.5 = 15 Watts

That's with a fully charged, 4.2 volt battery, not accounting for voltage drop.

That's basically a mechanical, right? It's just gonna throw 3.7 to 4.2 volts (whatever it's GOT) at the atomizer.

So if you like the vape of 4 volts on a 1.2 ohm coil, it will be fine. I mean it's definitely SAFE, it just might be a "weaker" vape than you want... I haven't tried it. Then again, I DO vape 4-ish volts on 1.x ohms pretty regularly (cartos and kayfuns....).

My experience not much difference in them other than battery run time long pulls on 1.2 dry hit with unlimited mod or .5 just quicker on 1.2 not hitting the battery enough to get voltage dip pretty good vape now the tank build stock .5 on referring to rebuild able part of the kanger sub ohm tank wow flavor no dry hits mouth to lung due to reduce air flow on unregalted not a lot of vape by my standerd but FLAVOR ohms law is law but voltage drop to 3.7 is not uncommon on fully charged battery at . 5 lower u go the More of a swing you will get on

Based on the specs I've seen you can fire the Aspire sub ohm battery up to 3 ohms, but as mentioned by others you may not like the output.
