hello from indiana! been vaping for awhile (7-8 months) and just upgraded from my ego twist/mini protank starter kit to a Subtank mini on an Aspire sub omh battery. Not really interested in sub ohm vaping in the "traditional" sense. I like the throw away attys, and don't really want to build my own until I have a more thorough understanding of everything.

Quick question for you guys...the sub ohm battery says it's rated for .3-1.0 ohms. What effect (if any) will using the 1.2 ohm coils that came with my Mini Protank have on the battery? Damage battery? Lower battery life (both number of recharge cycles and life between recharges)?

I like the 1.2 coils better because it's a little bit cooler, but if it's gonna damage my battery I can put up with the .5 coils.

Thanks guys.

I think you'll be fine, the 1.2ohm coils will actually put less stress on the battery, lower amp draw, and you'll notice better battery life vs the .5ohm coils. I can't think of a logical reason why a slightly higher resistance coil would do any damage.

I would guess they just market the specs that way because it's a "Sub Ohm" battery.
