I have a Boge revoluation V2. Its a nice little PV, but I know that eventually the internal batteries are going to give up the ghost. This is a type that recharged via a USB. I think there is enough room in the body to fix up a 14500 where the juice bottle and needle are ( i never really use it lol)...maybe two if I do a little reconstruction work on the inside where the battery pack is now. My question..if I just disconnect the power leads from the internal battery and rewire the PV to hold one or two 14500s, will it still be able to charge through the USB? Or will I have to mod it enough to make the batteries removable? I really like the mod and don't want to stop using it.

If you just correctly replace a battery (only battery) with another one, and you are shure that the new battery is good enough for your purposes, it's the same chemistry etc, everything will work.
this is probably stupid, but the boge web site says the PV uses a polymer li-ion battery. now i thought lithium and polymer charged in different ways. if that is true wouldnt it make the curcuit in side the PV the wrong type to charge a 14500 li ion?
If you can disassemble it, you should be able to see what battery is being used. Chances are you could find an exact replacement battery; I doubt they had a special battery made. Lots of LiPo battery vendors online.
