You mentioned on another thread that you have a "criss cross" battery. The only reference I can find to that in Google seems to be a customised eGo-T, which are 3.3V.
Kanger recommend up to 3.3V for coils below 2 ohms and, in my experience, the flavour is affected if you vape them at 3.7V.
Can you get a stock 2.4 ohm coil, or ask hubby to wind you something of that order?
Assuming that what you have is over 1.2 ohms (because the eGo tends to refuse to power anything much lower than that), then you could wind it by guesswork. Either 100% more wire than the current coil, or a wire with a diameter two thirds of the one you're using.
