Not that I'd consider myself a cloud chaser, but yes, better airflow for lung inhales can be acheived with a wide bore drip tip.

Yes they can its all about airflow when making clouds try this take a vape for the same amount of time with your current drip tip then take one without the tip

Definitely. Although it might not be immediately intuitive since it doesn't seem to pull extra air over the coil with a wide bore drip tip, think about when you suck through a coffee straw, versus through a soda straw.

To produce big clouds you need high air flow, but you also need to be able to pull out all the air that is coming in through the air holes.
So you need your drip tip to be as wide as the total width of all your air holes.
Notice that some wide drip tips are wide at the top but narrower at the base.
