Questions about 510 model, also compatibility with BLU/volcano

Okay, first of all, my brother just got a Magma about a week ago, and he's very pleased with it. He has me interested. First of all, how does the Magma compare to the Joye 510? What's the difference between the joye 510 and others? which are better, which are worse, and why? Is the Joye 510 compatible with the Magma at all? I've heard some 510 and BLU parts are compatible with each other? which ones are, and which ones aren't?

And finally, I'm interested in trying a 510, but I don't want to buy a kit. I'd like to spend as little as possible without buying a complete POS. Basically I just want one full 510 with a few blank carts and a charger. I don't need a PCC from what my brother told me about the Magma battery life(assuming Joye's or any other 510 is comparable), so that's not an issue. He smokes at least a pack a day and said he's only had to recharge his battery twice in one week. I just bought my blu not too long ago so I'm not looking to shell out a lot of money. Is it even worth it to try saving money by not buying a kit, or should I just say screw it and get the custom kit? I'm really liking the fact that it comes in copper. Image isn't really important, but I love the color of copper. I was also leaning toward auto batteries, provided they're nothing like BLU/volcano batteries in terms of sensitivity. Can anybody point me in another direction, or is the kit I posted just a better option? I love my Blu, I just want to see what else is out there.

magma's are pretty good. I really like there atomizers. They use 510 connections so a joye battery will work with a magam atomizers and also the other way around. Blu is also 510 connections but with a blu their batteries have to be charged with a blu charger. Also you cant charge joye and magma with a blu charger. They switched the wiring around on blu's is why they wont work. To make this even more confusing since your talking about magmas their volcano series is the same as the blu reversed wiring. So to sum all the up they will all work with each other but you need to use the right battery charger on the batteries.

Most people dont care for the auto batteries, mostly because of your complaint the sensitivity on them. Although some do like them. Personally i like the manuals better because my autos would cut out on me in the middle of a drag. My weak lungs i guess. So it really is personal preference as far as Autos go. Maybe they will let you add one of each so you can figure out what works best for you. Then just get another one later when you decide.

I'd rather not deal with a button if I can help it, but if the 510 auto batteries are as bad as blu's with sensitivity, maybe I'll just have to deal with the button.

There are other problems with auto batts too, the hole in the center post that makes them work also makes it easy to get juice inside the batt compartment (especially if using an atty other than the Blu style) and ruin the batt. I never had that happen personally but, they did cut out in the middle of my drags as mentioned above and activate with even a slight breeze or movement.

The button's not hard to get used to, I held mine with the button between my pointer and middle fingers, right where a cigarette goes, and squeezed while taking a drag. After a couple of days it was a natural part of the motion. Manual batts give a much smoother hit too.

Well everyone is different some people really like the autos. But on average most people have the same complaint as you along with what Bob pointed out if you flood the atomizer and it gets down in the sensor it will usually mess up the battery. The button for me was a bit awkward at first but i got used to it quick. If you do get manuals and really cant stand them you could also put them up for sale here in the forums and get some of your money back on them at least.

I bought mine before finding MadVapes and paid a lot more. When I saw they only wanted $35 bucks, I pooped my pants. I would certainly order that kit if I could do it all over. Go for it you will love the 510 and I got used to the button in a day.

Yeah, but I'll survive. I have my blu, and it's working fine. I doubt it'll come early, but that's not up to me.
