I won a King mod (brass) at a benefit auction, and I have some questions.

1. Where is the venting on the King mod? Is it sufficient? I don't see any. There are 4 tiny holes in the top, does that mean it will vent towards my face? Or would it become too hot to hold before that could happen? (I'll be using IMR, not ICR, AW batteries. I'm hoping I can use 18500 because I've found 18650 mods to be too long, they fall out of pockets etc, and 18350 batteries appear to be not much better than 78mm 808 cigalikes.)

2. Does a kick provide safety? If the venting is sufficient and I use coils > 2ohms, do I need a kick for safety? ANSWERED BY GOOGLE: Buy "2 cents for safety" which does not require room in the mod.

3. There is supposed to be a sticky somewhere on ECF about safely using mech mods, but I didn't find it, anybody know where it is? ANSWERED BY YOUTUBE: Stay below 2.2 ohms (and get a short circuit protector AKA "2 cents for safety"

4. There is an adjustable screw on the bottom of the top segment. Is this for adjusting between, say, 18490 and 18500? ANSWERED BY YOUTUBE: it adjusts for slight size differences.

There is a black octagonal ring at the top of this mod, in case that tell something about the model. It did not come with any documentation or instructions. I cannot screw a Nova onto this mod without adding a 510 extender. The box names a Chinese company, so I assume that means it is a clone?

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm also surfing for You Tube videos on how to use it, but googling for "king mod" vent didn't find much that was useful.
