So. Cal.
I was just wondering how do you charge the new mini pcc? Does it come with a built in USB cable like the original pcc case? Or do you have to supply your own USB cable? I noticed that the Mini pcc kit comes with a USB cable.
Will there be extra mini pcc batteries for sale in the future? And will there be a separate charger for these batteries? (Just wondering the need for the removable battery)

Hi Buddha! Happy holidays!

The new Mini PCC comes with a charging cable, but it's seperate, not built in. It is just a USB to Micro-USB cable. No seperate charger is necessary. The removable battery is a common cell phone battery type. Nokia uses it, among others, IIRC. That's part of the strength of the design, the battery should be widely available, so you'll have more options when it needs replacement. I don't know if seperate chargers are available for cell phone batts, but I wouldn't be surprised. And yes, we will start carrying extras if the demand is there.

that is so cool the battery is a cell phone batt and widely available! I didn't know that...
Leaford, you guys need to get all the tech specs and info on the site so folks know...

Good suggestion, let me talk to our IT guy and see what we can do. Maybe a seperate product page with that data, or in our FAQ.

Thanks for the reply Leaf. Will be ordering one soon. Plus some blanks and a battery. V4l was my first and only e-cig. Looking to try something new. Happy Holidays

Happy holidays to you, too!

It should charge any compatible battery. But I can't guarantee that the LCD display will read it accuratly, I can't predict how the e-cigs LED should behave, etc. But the basic function of charging it, sure, no prob. I wouldn't advise trying it with other models though, even if the power contacts line up right. Just to be safe, in case it has a different charging profile.

Well I'm sure you have a Vapor King from V4L lying around some where - why don't you try it??? :)

:sigh:
I have, actually. And it works. It charged it fully, the LCD display worked, everything. This is all 100% compatible with regular KR8s so there's no actual reason for me to be so cautious. I'm not so cautious about regular chargers, and it's not the charging I'm worried about.

I guess I'm just leary about promising the LCD will work with other compatible brands, when I'm not totally sure how it reads the battery to get that information. I've been told in the past that for that to be possible the IC in the battery and the IC in the PCC have to communicate, which means they have to have that capability programmed into both. My manufacturer has assured me that that's not necessary and it can "read" any compatible batt.

But for my own testing to back that up, I'd need more manufacturer's 65mm batts. I only happen to have 65mm batts from one other one at this time. Not a big enough sample for me to be confident they will all be LCD compatible.

So, I stick with my first answer. ALL the features should work with any compatible brand, but I just can't honestly guarantee that the LCD will always display correctly with other brands. I haven't tested that to my satisfaction.

Thanks for the honest, quick reply Leaford! Can't wait to get my new MaxxFusion! I am leary about an Automatic, but I read so many good things about it I just have to see for myself! I'll report my findings when I receive it and give it a try!

Does the Mini PCC work with the larger batteries? I was sent the old PCC and 1 large battery by mistake so they are sending the new PCC and one short battery. Basicly they owe me 2 batteries that work with the new charge. Is that what I'm getting if I end up with on long and one short?

Bloog Mini PCC only works with 65mm batteries, the 78mm batteries don't fit in the case.

Thanks for the help. Ill have to call them back.
Another Question:
Do you know if the Bloog Mini PCC holds more than one battery?
I know it only charges one at at time, but maybe it has a spot to hold another battery?

It will hold 2 batteries and one carto. One batt in the charging slot and another longer slot for a spare with a carto attached.
