My Rig: eGo-T cone type A atomizer with an eGo-C 1000 MaH battery.

I just received my 2 SmokeTech Redux Clearo's with replacement heads. I have been using them for a couple of days now and have noticed that they seem to have a burnt taste to them. When I compare the Redux vape to the stock eGo-T atomizer and tank cartridge, the difference is very noticeable. I have tried replacing the head on the redux Clearo and to no avail.

If your using an ego twist 1000 your voltage may be to high. What ohm atty did you get because you have to match ohms and volts to get a good vape. Here is a chart you may find useful.

I have found that you can't run clearos with as high a wattage as some of the others. I will turn the voltage up and then boom you get burnning and a big TH. I have two CE5's of diff brands and a vivi nova 2.5 and when you hit that hot spot you get that burn.

My Redux Clearo is a 1.8 ohm low resistance. Thanks for including the chart. It's helpful to visually see what your talking about.

My eGo twist 1000mah is not a vv. I get the burn on my first hit or my fifth hit. It says the Redux is compatible with my eGo-C 1000mah battery. Any other ideas?

Could also be that they are dirty. Try soaking them. Then you can wash them out. I do a dry burn but on the non rebuildables I've had poor luck with dry burns I just fried my last CE2 today.
here is a link to cleaning.

Do you think they are able to become dirty in 48 hours? I was thinking it would take longer than that for carts to get dirty.?.

Also, the Redux clearos are rebuildable. So you just replace the atty. or so I thought. Is this incorrect?

Well, you can just replace it but cleaning it is easy! Eventually you will have to toss it, but why bother if it still works once the gunk is out?

Depending on the juice, and how much you vape, yes it can become dirty in 48 hours. Easily with some of the darker juices.

ETA: I just rinse mine really well with hot tap water, then dry burn them. I have nothing to lose doing this, as I would have tossed them anyway right? After I dry burn I rinse again and dry the wicks by dabbing with a paper towel. You can wait for them to dry and put a clean head on, or you can just use it right away but the first few hits might be watered down by the water in the wicks. Your choice...

They are real easy to clean. Just soak it in alcohol is what I do then after a few hours you flush it good. I us a water pick but you can just run it under a tap. Take the little silicone thingi off. Then I do a inspection and if the coils are gunked up you put it on the clearo minus the tank put it on your battery and push the button. Just do it until you see red not yellow on the coils keep doing that and once you can see all the individual coils wash it one more time put the silicone thinge back on it and either let it dry or use it. I let them dry.
real easy. I rebuild them when I've got good wick. LOL my shipment of silica wick got nabbed somewhere. LOL
It's up to you not much work for a few dollars savings. I have a redux and that is what I do.
