I'm floating my new kf 3.1 es clone on my trusty MVP. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1699800 Have a nice 2.0-ish ohm coil w/30g that I wrapped around the screwdriver tip that came with my kf minis (it's a bigger diameter than my 1/16" drillbit that I usually use.) Getting amazing flavor and vapor, but I'm having trouble with filling. I have been trying to top-fill, and I thought I had the tank pretty full (well above the middle clear section) and after a touch of leaking, it's well below the clear section now.

I got a little leaking from the fill port (as well as the air hole) I was hesitant to use the fill port - had heard some folks have trouble with that. Also wondering about the bottom of the base - it is adjustable (i.e. can loosen and tighten) but I'm not sure what that's for.

If anyone has some insight, I'd appreciate

The bottom bit is the juice overflow section. It simply is where any juice that has flooded the build chamber goes (rather than out the airhole).

It should be screwed on tightly, it is held in place by the connector pin/screw too, so if you are wanting to take it apart then you should take out the bottom connector screw first.

I have never used the fill port on mine, I am like you in that I have heard people having problems with theirs and don't want to bother risking it.

When filling mine from the top I fill up to the top of the threaded metal part that sits directly on the window section. I always hold my finger over the airhole whilst doing it and only release it when I have screwed on the top section of the Kayfun.

Lastly (when assembled) I give it a suck without firing, if air bubbles rise through the tank then I know that it is working correctly and is read to go.

The overflow does not get vaped. I rarely have anything in there and if so it is a drop or two. I have filled mine both ways. Not a problem either way. I mostly fill from the top because I only have one needle tip bottle. Top fill with your finger over the air hole, when full barely screw the top on, flip it over so the bubble raises to the area of the air hole, finish screwing on the tank and release your finger. That's how I do it and never had a leak.
