I have a question about the chuck. When the chuck is made, how is the custom graphics applied? Do you pick a base color, then the graphic overlays that? Or is the option of just a plain body color or your custom artwork? I guess what I am saying is, does the body color show through the custom artwork where the artwork is just plain, like the area around a logo for instance? I hope you can understand what I am asking…don't know how else to describe it…

Also, for custom artwork, what are the dimensions for the chuck graphics, as well as the best resolution that Jeff can put on?

On, average, what is Jeff's turn around time from ordering to shipping? Approx. how many weeks?

Thanks,
Warped

For the most part, any exposed areas that aren't covered in the artwork or the base color of the artwork, since it's a template printed and rolled onto the chuck will be the color of your choosing. I don't know if he prints on clear or can so the base color shows through the decal or not.

As far as mine went, it was a black pic base with the graphic, and the edges don't cover the entire length, so there's black matte filling those gaps.

If you get a full wrap, the background shows wherever the wrap doesn't cover. In my case, that's about 1/8" at the top and the bottom. As to whether he can print your picture out on clear paper so the base would show through where the picture is blank, he'd have to answer.

You don't have to get a full wrap. There are some that are pictures that cover part of the Chuck.

The wait was about 4 weeks but he's getting caught up. I think it's just under 3 weeks now.

There's ALWAYS a slight gap at the top/bottom where the full warp doesn't cover and the body color shows through. I believe it's so that the clear coat can bond with the body to prevent the edges of the wrap from pulling up?

He can/has printed on clear and the body color shows through then (though ever so slightly differently due to the clear's thickness). You also don't have to go with a full wrap. Really it depends upon what look you're going for.
