I ordered and received a RM2 today. The brass mod wasn't on the site when I ordered, so like the directions said, I made a note of it on the regular RBA. What is supposed to be different if it's for a wood mod? What should I look for?

The Brass are only done by request, a custom order. If you noted it on the order then yours should not be the SS or chrome.

There should be no physical difference for the RM2 to fit the upcoming wood REO's.

A little off subject, but does anyone know the airhole size of the RM2?
I have a Hornet that I drilled out to 1/16 and found it a slightly too airy and my standard RM2 airhole slightly too stiff! Looking for something in the middle?

This is handy to have; Dremel 628 7 Piece Drill Bit Set

3/64 is the next smaller size under 1/16

No idea what the RM2 hole size is, but will find out later this week when I get mine wee!

It is silver in color…not brass. I'll get in touch and see what we can do...

I got a reply from Rob…I was supposed to email or PM him about the special order. I didn't realize that since the RM2 description states to just mention it in notes. Great….now I get to try to change it myself. And, to be honest, it really bums me out that it wasn't more clear. I thought I was doing the right thing. :(

So, now…assuming I even try for a wood mod….what extras will I need?

You will need batteries. That's about it for the wood REO's. Just use a atomizer, cartomizer or your RM2.

The wood REO's have a soldered spring plate and contacts. So any repairs usually mean a trip to Robert.

The side button is really a nice feature, it is very easy to use. No button cover needed!

You know you can send the RM2 back to Robert and have it taken down to brass. Or if you have not used it yet maybe you can return it and get the brass one.

Thanks for the list, nerak. Looks like I bought some extras I didn't need since I wasn't sure and couldn't find a post listing them. That's okay, though…I'll have them for a metal one. ;)

Possibilities. I'm just *SO* disappointed right now that I can't think about it. I'll be more clear headed this evening and decide how to proceed.

From the looks of things I believe Rob has that taken care of now. The brass RM2 is now listed in the RBA section of ReosMods along with the low profile (unmilled RM2) and the Igo s. Along with the good news of the spring end of the new sub ohm kit having passed Rob's standards. And looking like a few wood runs this year. 2014 is going to be a very good year.
