hi! im a new vapor (been vaping for about 4 months)
and finally my hubby and i decided to get the silverbullet.

but ive noticed about this "kick"

and it is a bit pricey hehehe

so my question is....

is it absolutely necessary to get them? as in like it will totally change the vaping experience for silver bullet 100%?

or its just a minor, not so noticeable volt change fixer?

By it's self the SB is a fixed (3.7v) device, and you change the resistance value of the atty/carto to achieve the vaping experience that you want. You set the Kick to the vaping experience that you want, and no matter what the resistance value of the atty/carto, it will adjust the voltage to that vaping experience (measured in Watts)

Is the Kick necessary? Not really, but it is a nice accessory. If you look at my avatar, far right is a sb with a kick in it. Just to the left of it is a 3.7v PV with a very different device on it compaired to what is on the sb. They both taste exactly the same. I just select the resistance value on the little Mako to get it, and the wattage value on the SB to get it.

That DCT (mas produced by SmokTech in China) is nothing to write home about in my opinion. To begin with a normal 2ohm carto will vape circles around a dual coil carto at lower voltages. That 1.5ohm DCC has two 3ohm coils in it, and a 3ohm coil needs about 4.5v before it really starts to shine. Also the inside diameter of the end caps is too small and the o-ring too thin to function as they should. It's a real PITA to put punched cartos in that tank, which means that many will be stuck with only able to use the drilled cartos from SmokTech.
This tank was built with the SB in mind, and is a far better tank.

loving the looks and the reviews of that J-Tank but i don't think AltSmoke carries them.. sigh sigh sigh!!!
im currently in Korea so to get it shipped from 2 different companies.. its paying about 30-40 bucks just for the shipping so very very inconvenient for me.. but you are right, better to get J tank than get some other tanks that will fail me.. which will b a problem for me because that means i have to order them again.
Are theres any online stores that sells batteries, sb, and j-tank?

Unfortunately NO. Altsmoke makes the SB and ENS makes the J-tank. ENS has a market agreement that allows them to sell the SB in their store only (no internet sales). Both Altsmoke and ENS sell the batteries, atties/cartos, etc, etc.

For a wee bit more info, I've been using a Silver Bullet without a kick for about a month now. I originally ordered the system with the 18650 AW IC 3100mAh batteries. These worked wonderfully for me to start with. I'm quite a heavy vaper, so the battery lasts me between 40 and 50 hours total (this includes sleeping, lol). Upon further reading, I found that using the Kick system would make the Silver Bullet perform at approximately the same performance level for the length of the battery charge. One of my biggest complaints with the standard battery system was that the last couple of hours of operation, the vapor was thin and not very hot. I snagged a kick while they were in stock, and an 18490 battery to start off with. I was SOLD! My vaping was consistent through the life of the battery. I just got my kick sleeve in today, and the AW IMR 18650 2000mAh batteries. On a "down" note, my Silver Bullet is black chrome, and the only kick sleeve available was chrome. On a plus side, it looks pretty damn sweet two tone. If you want your vaping to be consistent, then definitely splurge for the Kick. As for cartos, I've been using the Smoktech units for a while now. The work "ok" in my opinion, and I haven't snagged a J-Tank as of yet to know the difference between the units. Smoktech will probably do till you get back to Cali. Cheers!
