Questions about "The Chuck" mod

Alright, so these are fairly specific I guess.

1. He says 'battery not included'. So... it's not a battery? Do I put store bought batteries in it or what? If so, that'd be a big plus honestly.

2. I didn't find it very clear exactly how often I could any kind of special pattern done to the mod. Is it ususally just the normal colors? The normals and the sparkely ones (I know what the paint trick is called, on cars atleast, but won't even attempt to spell it right now lol)? Or will he do the whole special design thing but he can't promise it will ship for <x amount of time>?

On his site there are numeous to chose from. Be sure and order your batteries the same time you order you chuck. I didn't and ended up with the chuck without batteries. You can't find these batteries locally. I got mine from Battery Junction. I also ordered some from an overseas supplier and it took 3 weeks for them to come in.

The batteries are suppose to last up to 24 hours. The longest one of mine has lasted was 5 hours. I don't understand why everybody else gets longer lasting batteries than I do. I have a CR123 A, a l6340 with l000mph. They will recharge in about 2 hours.

That's what I use in my Chuck. I don't know how long they last, since I've never tried to run one down. I change mine every 2 or 3 days (I don't really keep track).

Wow! that's great! I have VP2 now, it lasts about 1 1/2 - 2 days, and I like it because I can use my M201 atty with it. Do you by chance know if it might work on the Chuck? I'm gonna buy one, soon, just curious. :)

medium to light vaping, almost 4 days. heavy to very heavy vaping, 1.5 to 2.5 days

That's awesome! My hubby recently switched to vaping and so he takes my VP2 with him to work, thought maybe the Chuck will help. (Too tempting to light up a cig if the batts. dead. Between the two of us, I'm constantly charging batts.

The available powdercoat colors are shown on www.thagbuilt.com
Graphics can be either line art, like a name in script, or a full color graphic. The bigger the graphic file the better, Jeff can resize the graphic to fit. Check on the site for customer examples.

Currently, once paid and order completed, it takes just under 2 weeks for it to be built and powdercoated.

More info can be found in the "how to spend a saturday" thread
