questions about the iclear 30

bought an iclear 30 two days ago. its really muted so perhaps I am doing something wrong? anyone else have similar experiences?
im back to my stardust clearo's but i was so excited about this innokin. i want to make it work if possible, or maybe it works fine....? also, i cant seem to shake this metal taste. its off putting to say the least. I'm vaping AIV's cupcake city in my stardust and its fine, but i can barely taste it in my innokin, (yes i do hold the vapor in my mouth before inhaling).Ive heard people speak of breaking it in, but i'm not sure what that entails exactly.

Ive noticed the muted flavor as well, thats just top coil clearos/tanks that do it for me. As far as the metal taste that sounds like the coil isnt being supplied enough juice, I havent had that experience with mine but Im still using the head that came with the unit and have an extra one for later use.

How the iclear 30 wouldnt wick juice is beyond me, they should wick frozen molasses with how many wicks they have.

Did you give it a thorough rinse before using it? That really should be done with any clearomizer.

no that was helpful! so allow me to be a noob and ask, is "wicking" the tem used to describe the wicks absorbing the juice? because if so, im guessing that exactly whats happening. i was expecting a huge cloud of vapor, but to much sadness, i got this little puff. also it gurgles terribly.

Yes wicking essentially the juice flowing through the strands to the coil.
You can try rinsing the head assembly after you have used it just be careful of the strands they tend to fall apart rather easily.

I've only been using mine for two or three days, but my flavor is a little muted. It's not bad, but the banana in my Monkey Business (from Velvet Cloud Vapor) isn't coming through very much. It's not an in your face banana, anyway, but it's definitely way in the background with the iclear (if that makes sense). I've decided that I'm going to use the iclear 30s with juices that have really strong flavors from now on, and I'll stick to carto tanks and dripping for the more subtle flavors (unless the flavor becomes more pronounced later, if these really do need to be broken in). I had the same problem with Vivi Novas, but it's slightly worse with the iclear.

Same here, The flavor is not right on my iClear30. Yes I cleaned my multiple times before & after use, that was obvious due to the new shoe smell when you open it. I had high hopes for it since it got such good reviews but I prefer the Vivi Nova...and I dont even like top coil

I have three iclear 30's in my rotation right now. I too got the metal taste at first but it went away really quick. I think it may have been the drip tip to be honest. The taste in mine is a little muted but not to bad at all. For a clearomizer it is actually pretty damn good! My coils haven't been lasting very long though. Every 5-7 days I need to replace mine. The new wick is always the best for 3-4 days. I go through quite a bit of juice though so maybe you won't need to replace yours as quick. As far as the gurgles go, make sure your top cap is tightened down all the way. ( like really tight, til you can't turn it at all anymore) this will create a better seal with the rubber cap and the bottom of your drip tip. All things considered I have noticed if I leave mine on its side overnight, it will get a little juice in there and gurgle too. I just blow hard through the drip tip and clean the juice out the bottom and its good as new. Overall these are good out and about devices. I still prefer carto tanks. For at home I use my rba's. and nothing in the vaping world can come close to how amazing those are when set up correctly! Good luck to you

Normal on left ...... Cotton wick on right.....cotton wicks a lot better and faster and soaks up just about ALL the juice in tank.

Also I got 4 extra heads, 2 of the heads had that " burnt " taste. I took the wicks out and adjusted the 2 coils so they are not touching each other and put cotton in the coils. Vapes like a beast !!!!

just regular cotton? did you cut it into strips? ive never seen this done before. also, i tried carto's once, but didnt want to be bothered with them as clearo's seemed to be easiest. that being said, i go through clearo's like crazy. wondering if i should give carto's another try. im not getting those wonderful notes of flavor with the iclear 30

Has anyone here figured out how to help with the muted flavors? I just bought one yesterday and the iclear30 is great as far as the wicking, vapor production and throat hit goes, but the taste leaves something to be desired. I was using a CE4 for a month and cleaned it every night, and although the TH, vapor and wicking wasn't near as good as the iclear30, the taste was much more pronounced.

So if anyone has any ideas to help get more flavor out of the iclear30 please let me know because I love everything else about this clearo!

By the way I did have the metal taste at first, but that wore off after I used it for a bit, and I can't taste it at all after a good cleaning.
