Both are considered "safe", but I've heard of folks having "sensitivities" to PG (fortunately I never had an issue with either). PG tends to be thinner/stronger flavor/ stronger throat hit/less vapor, VG tends to be thicker/milder flavor/less throat hit/tons of vapor. Higher concentration of nic adds to the TH.

I tend to go with mixes 50PG/50VG to 100%VG.

Yup chalk one up to pg sensitivity. Gives me a sore throat. I stick to 100% vg for the most part. Drip it and even got a DCT tank wicking it just fine. I don't thin mine at all.

I actually prefer 100% VG. I will use a 70/30 VG/PG. I love the way the vapor feels in my mouth. I actually find that a bunch of VG juices have great flavor. So I don't feel a loss in that area. Of course, it's all personal preference. Try everything. See what you like. Higher concentrations of nicotine have nothing to do with flavor. Just depends on what and how many cigarettes you smoked before. I'm a newbie myself but I've learned quite a lot of the basics in a short time. So good luck to you and I hope that I can assist you in any way!

When I use a juice with high PG content, my throat constricts and I feel a strong stinging sensation. It also causes sores in my mouth.

PG comes from fossil fuel and is a byproduct of oil refining and natural gas production. It is "generally recognized as safe" in small quantities, but it is found in many every day products including food, shampoo, toothpaste, lotion, soap, cologne, perfume, deodorant, and others. Since it's found in so many products, I am not convinced we are only exposed to safe quantities. I choose to limit my exposure to it as much as I can.

VG supposedly hasn't been studied as much, but it comes from a natural food source. That doesn't mean it's healthy, but if I were making a bet I'd bet a product from a natural food source is safer than a product derived from fossil fuel.

I am not sure what I am using. Most of my juices are from a store in my city. I would guess 50/50, as it seems that is common. I have two zero nic, and one is peach and the other tutti fruiti. Both of these juices are almost clear and have tons of vapor. Of course I do like the flavor, but it doesn't have to be strong. I really like the feel of the vapor in my mouth and blowing it back out. That was one of my favorite things about smoking. I think I am vaping about like I used to smoke. If the weather was nice, I might stay outside and smoke three pretty close together. Then...forget about smoking for several hours. I am kind of rambling, but thanks for your comment. I think I will go on line and order some 100%vg. I did order some juice from Rawr, and was disappointed at first. I had read to let them set for several days, and what a difference that made.

Speaking for PG it is the only base i can use so we all are not the same with our sensitivities.VG in a mix makes me wheeze and i cannot breathe but PG doesn't do that. I am happy with my PG juices and was glad i took the time to try both PG and VG types so i could find out for sure what is vapeable for me. I have only met one other person who is intolerant of VG being in a mix so i don't feel all alone. Most people are intolerant/sensitive to pg and love vg. I am opposite like my one friend :)

PG is completely safe and is a proven antibacterial agent, there is links in the forum of studies done on it. I feel safe with 100% PG juices
