So I recently made the switch from the Twists to a sigelei Zmax mini and I am thrilled that I did, I love it way more then I ever imagined I would (especially since a month ago I was smoking and thought I would NEVER in my life vape off of some giant tube lol). I love that it's still pretty small (considering), the features are great, it's SO much easier to use then I thought it would be and it's just been an all around great mod (for the whole 4-5 days I've had it lol). I like it so much that I wanted to pick up another, but they're pretty expensive at my B&M, at least more then what I've seen online, I though about getting one online, but how do I know it's authentic? Is there something else even better out there? That's where the second part of this thread comes in.

I want to get another mod, a mini version, and I'd love to get another Zmax, but I'm wondering what other mods you guys would recommend. The guy at the local B&M says the Zmax minis are great and I've been just taking his word for it (although, like I said, for the 4-5 days I've had it, he's right!) so I'd like other opinions. I like the way the (white) Provari mini looks, but don't know if it's worth the price tag!

P... P... P... Provari.

Your Zmax is very nice. I hope it lasts you a long time. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. A Provari would last you a very, very long time. You can buy 2 or three Zs for the price of a Pro. The problem is sometimes you do have to get 2 or 3 Zs in a year or two.

honestly vv/vw is just math...Your telling me you cannot find the same vape when you turn your device on vv vs vw on your mini?
If Provari wanted VW or felt the need for one, you would have seen one already. They are one of the biggest legit manufactures of VV devices today.
All these have been debated to death, but you will notice a better vape from Provari.
If you cannot justify the price of provari, then check out the vamo, mvp, or itaste v3. Order your back up online and dont get hosed at your BM on a cheap china device.

Wow! Actually, I've only been using a VW device for a few days and I enjoy the feature. Can I do the math? Idk because I don't even know what math to use! I don't know what makes it work, I just know I like it. This is all just my personal feelings, I enjoy the VW feature, that doesn't mean I'm too stupid to figure it out! I know that's not what you said, but it's the internet and the sarcasm button isn't on my computer so it's hard to tell if that's what you meant.

Sorry, lol.. not sure what I said bothers you, just trying to inform. I promise! I was just explaining that vv/vw is pretty much same and why provari does not have vw option. They have been out for years.
Here is a calculator.
So 3.7v with 2.2 ohm coil would give you 6.2 watts.. So this would mean you would set it at 3.7 on your 2.2 ohm atty to achive 6.2 watts.

Watts - volts - amps - ohms conversion calculator

You don't need to deal with the math as long as you are not vaping on the extremes of the vaping spectrum. With your VW you adjust the number up or down to suit your mood, your juice, your carto, etc. With a VV you do the same. No difference. Want it warmer? Turn it up. Want it cooler? Turn it down.

What kind of atty/carto/clearo have you been using, BTW, Mrs. P?

I really like my Zmax mini, but I also have the Segeli version. I don't like the smok version at all! I have noticed that the switch is getting a little unreliable. Sometimes when I press it, it jumps into the menu instead of firing. For what I paid for it, I'm happy with it. Like everyone else, I've heard great things about the Provari. If i was looking for another 18350 size vv, it's probably what I would get!

Another options is the telescopic Zmax. Can use it in 18350, all the way up to 18650.

Aren't you guys being a little rough here? When I started I wanted to ramp up moving through an MVP and a SID; it worked with my level of comfort and part of that was the 'consistency' of using watts. I will say that since getting my Provari I do realize how inconsistent my other devices were throughout their battery life. For the most part nob I set by taste rather than by number and somehow the Provari makes that easier than my other devices where sometimes 9 watts was prefect and other times seemed to much.

I still like vaping by wattage though and for that I use my Semovar! ;)

I own 3 Provari's, so yes I'm a big fan. I also own an MVP which is a very fine mod.

I was recently gifted a Smoktech Mini ZMax. I used it for a week and noticed it fired hotter than either the Provari or MVP at the same set voltage. I recognized this as the "rattlesnake effect" of the 33.3 hz chip that most of the Chinese-made mods use. I had to turn the voltage down a full volt to get the same vape as my Provari's or MVP. I quickly grew weary of the Mini Zmax and gave it to my daughter. She has been using two 14500 mechanical mods, so for her the Mini is an upgrade and she likes it.

Why Provari?

Segelei Mini Zmax and Mini Provari.jpg

The Mini Provari is shorter/smaller than the Segelei Mini Zmax. I can almost guarantee that if you can reasonably afford a Provari, you won't be disappointed and will understand why it is worth the extra money once you've used it.

I use the Smok Pyrex carto tanks with 2 ohm cartos.

Sorry I'm away from the house and didn't see the replies. I just picked up a Sigelei V3. I don't really plan on usinh it with tye larger batteries YET but thought it'd be nice to have the option as I am often making 4 hour trips to Shreveport to see family and that's when I tend to vape (use to smoke) the most...driving!
