Questions from a new canadian user

I recently got a Blu starter kit from a friend, and I live in Canada, so ordering refills would be kind of hard, plus I want something that would provide more heat. I was thinking about buying a new starter kit altogether, like this one, as the refills are pretty cheap compared to buying real cigarettes.

That's my main goal with vaping, is to save money, and still feel like I'm smoking. Which is also why I want something with more heat than Blu e-cigs. Could anybody help me out?

Keep in mind that I need something that I can be fairly certain will make it to my door, as I live in Canada, and we seem to have some peculiar laws regarding these products >.<

I tried that E-cig canada kit. Did not like it at all. There are many canadian vendors that could help you with information. I really CEV You can send them an email with your questions and he will lead you in the right direction. Actually, most Canadian vendors will do that.
I, myself, use the Ego-C with LR atty and like it.

Greetings fellow Canuck! Welcome to ECF!

The 5 post rule is to weed out the "Bots" that spread spam in forums. I suggest you check the "new members forum" and greet other newcomers so that you can get your 5 posts. Then, after a short wait for the site to update, you will be able to post in the Canada Forum to request a list of Canadian vendors.

After you have 5 posts you can check your status by clicking on your name beside your post in this thread to see if the option comes up for "private message". Once it does, you are a member and we can be sure you are not a "Bot" (you aren't, are you?) Lol.

Tell us how long you have been a smoker, vaper or anything else.

Relax! Enjoy!

Welcome! First off I wanted to say that I would love to visit Canada at some point in my life. We have a few guys that have worked for my company that live in Canada and they have all been just like me, easy going! It must be pretty stress free and content up North.. lol

If you are looking for more "heat" you can do 1 of 2 things. The easiest is, purchase lower resistance cartomizers or atomizers. Most standard kits come with 2.5ohm. You could go as low as 1.7ohm with some, but keep in mind, lower resistance = shorter battery life. The second is buying a PV that is rated at 5 volts (up from the typical 3.7volts) This is often too big of jump for some just starting out.

Keep in mind that some e-liquid is better with more heat and others just don't taste right when they are "hotter".

As for Canadian vendors... I'm sorry that I can't offer any information. I THINK I've read that some have had success with MadVapes which is a VERY reputable vendor and pretty much have everything you could want, but I'm sure international shipping would not be fun.

Happy Vaping

Thanks for the warm welcome and info guys =)

I have been smoking for 5 years now, although I tried to quit four months ago, and succeeded, kind of, by only smoking once a week or sometimes not at all.

Then I had a relapse, and I mentioned wanting to get some e-cigs to my friend, and he gave me his which he didn't use anymore because he couldn't replace cigarettes with it.

I'd initially tried to get some Blu cigs over a year ago, when they were a three piece system, by having them shipped to my ex-fiance, who was then supposed to mail it to me, but....she never did =(

I've got 7 cartridges, which will probably last me two weeks. Just not sure where to go once those are out, as I haven't found a Canadian supplier of Blu. My friend said he would look through his e-mail, but he procrastinates a lot =/

I'll try to rack up three more posts and repose the question in the Canadian forum =)

Probably for the price of refills you can get something useful here. There are vendors in Van and Victoria so you won't even have to wait long to get supplies. Although that does seem to be a new sport, stalking the mail person (get that, politically correct and everything).

Are you interested in longer battery life, as in larger batteries?

.

I haven't used one for a full day yet, so I don't know if I need longer battery life or not - so far I've been pretty happy with that aspect.

Welcome to the forum!

I am also fairly new to the vaping world. Started with a cheap one and quickly decided it wasn't going to do much for me. It has poor battery life, poor vapor production and the cartridges were disposable. I paid around $30 for it. I can't call it a waste because it was my first step!

I went on google, and checked what my options were. I found a site, looked at the options and sent the owner a bunch of emails. I have found all of the Canadian stores I have dealt with to be fantastic! I decided on an ego-c. I have only had it a week, and has barely left my hands! My whole point is, there are many options! Explore them!
