I bought an eGo-T Type -B and received it on Saturday 08/11/12. Now I have many questions.

1st here we are day 2 and one of my attys is inop! I have been using it and this afternoon it just quit working. I thought my battery was dead, so I put a fresh battery on and nothing. I made sure the battery was active, still nothing. I keep it in my pocket tip down and I have not notice any leakage. Shouldn't the attys last more than 2 days?

My other atty has a burnt taste. I have never dry fired it, but after filling the tank it taste burnt.

Is an eGo-T considered a twist?

Are there other setups I can use with my eGo-t batteries? (Any suggestions)

I did not get a knock-off it is from a rep. ecig dealer I have used for years. I just want vaping to be an easy experience. I can't stand having to fill carts all the time and really love the tank. I filled up last night and it lasted all day. The inop atty has me bummed though and now my other one taste bad. It has been a rough day for me :(

An ego-t, I think the t stands for tank. An ego twist has a dial as the bottom cap that you 'twist' to increase or decrease the voltage. The ego tank attys do work, but not that well in my opinion. Don't fret- an ego is 510 threaded, which means it will accept any 510 atty, cartomizer, etc. You could get some cartomizers to try. Those have polyfill that hold the juice, and you can vape fairly long without messing with it, and when the flavor/vapor starts to drop, top it off by adding more juice. You can take cartos to the next level with a tank, which is basically a reservoir that holds juice and keeps the carto wet, giving you much, much longer vape time before needing to refill the tank.
I don't think you would want to keep it in your pocket tip side down. Egos are the staple of the ecig, I have 3 or 4 and still use at least one of them every day.
My opinion is to ditch the ego tank attys, and try either some cartomizers or tanks. You would need LR, or low resistance since the ego operates at a low voltage- ~3.4v. Boge is the big name in cartomizers, and they are inexpensive if you search around for the best price. Also, smok tech makes tanks that are very cheap and work well- I would stay away from dual coil cartos though, your ego doesn't have enough power to push them properly.
Hope this helps, if you have any questions you can feel free to Pm me or whatever.

Hi Mike, Welcome to the Joys of owning a "t"..... There are a few things that I learned while giving the "t" system a thorough try. One would be that when storing your unit you want it to be upright, tip facing the top. Number two is to vape with it facing a more verticle angle, kind of as if drawing on a pipe rather than an analog. Number three would be to lighten your draw style and lengthen it if need, the feed system is very similar to a paint sprayer and requires a mild & steady draw rather than short quick puffs. Short hard puffs will lead to a flooded atty, while short light puffs will lead to a dry atty.

The eGo c-twist is the only twist that I am aware of, but normally it refers to the battery only. The eGo t is its own unit.

If you like the tank system there are plenty of "disposable" clearomizer type systems that will run rings around any "t" that I have tried as far as flavor, vapor and overall oomph. One of my favorites is the Kanger t-2 clearomizer. It will hold 2.4ml of liquid which is almost double what the "t" holds and has replaceable coil heads that are only a couple dollars each. There is also the "stardust"' carts which many folks rave about. You could even just go with a simple boge carto .... any of which are up to you and what you enjoy. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

I did this because i noticed they didn't leak. On my 510 it would leak and get into the battery.

ego batts are seal no need to worry about the leaks. now as far as the atty yes they can go at any time. two things you can do is first check with a multimeter. if they show any registered ohm or if you dont have a meter.you can try adjusting the center plate in the atty. you can do this with a unbent paperclip or small glasses type screwdriver. just put a bit of it into the center hole where the thread is, and give it a slight wiggle. you wont really see much movement but it will work and help make a good/better connection. if not the i would just pitch it in the trash.

I'm new to this site but not to vaping so much. A couple good sites to check out for devices and such are "www.madvapes.com" and "www.gotvapes.com" the Madvapes site is geared a little more towards DIY mod building but they still have a good selection of top notch low cost mods and regular stick style and ego style ecigs. The Gotvapes is gettin a little more into the customization side of things just recently with the replaceable carto-tanks and the rebuildable atty-tanks. I am still new to those because until recently most rebuildables were out of my price range but seeing as the bigger ecig producers are getting into them the price is WAY down to about the same price as the average DCT. I.E. the Smoktech Hyper SRT and the Phoenix Rebuildable on Gotvapes. Madvapes just opened a new website so all their helpful reviews are no longer there unless they have just moved them over today. But, Gotvapes has demonstration videos on most of their products right on their site with the products. You can also look on youtube for a couple vape talkers i like to check every now and again, Grimmgreen and Steeljan. Also PBusardo and another dude I cant think of right off are helpful. as far as Juices....Just try them yourself till u find something you like as I have yet to find a single person who has a taste for juices anywhere near mine. Goodluck ;)

Yeah the Ego batteries are ALL sealed unless I have missed a "Auto" Ego somewhere down the line. Almost all Autos are unsealed because they work by the suction from the puffing creates a vacuum witch then activates a pressure switch in the batteries. But every button or Manual type ecig I have seen so far have been Sealed devices. meaning they have a solid center pen instead of one with a hole. Just go to Youtube and type in Ego. Or just search around this site a little.

I called the vendor about getting another atty seeing as how I only had it for 2 days. I have been buying from him for a few years now so I think he will take care of me. There is so much more to learn these days about ecigs. For anyone thinking about vaping this forum has a wealth of info for you to research. I still have so much more to learn. Thanks for all the replys and help.

You should be much, much happier with vision clearomizers than the tank set up. Those default tank setups are really just rehashes of the old cartridge atomizer style setup that was on the very earliest PVs. You might also want to consider a vivi nova or a mini vivi nova tank. They are a lot like a vision clearomizer, only better. Pbusardo has a pretty good video reviews of them up, just check tasteyourjuice.com I used to be a big vision clearomizer fan, but the flavor and performance is so much better on my vivi novas that I don't even try to use them anymore.
