About to get into building microcoils and figured an IGO is as good as anything to get cracking on.

My question is, the IGO-W has three posts but I presume it will work perfectly fine with a single coil as well as dual coil. I don't see the point in spending the money on an IGO-L when I can spend $1 more for an IGO-W, and start practicing with dual coils too.

Cheers

personally IGO-W wasnt for me.
A lot of people on here love it.

It has a wide open draw ideal for cloud chasers. If you big into lung hits it should be good for you.
I dont have IGO-L so I cant comment on that.
I do have Octopus rda and would NOT recommend it to ANYONE.
I have a Trident Clone in the mail, should be here tomorrow. After looking at reviews, it seems to be the ticket.

I never thought I would like dripping, but the octopus showed me I love it (before all my QC issues!)

The IGO-W might be a bit airy for one coil but you can always block off one hole. If you drill the holes, don't go too big. You can always go larger later but going smaller is kind of tricky. :D Mine are 3/32 right now and they are OK for me but a cloud chaser with big lungs might want a little more air.

I definitely would go for the IGO-W even if you have no intention of building a dual-coil setup. The holes in the posts make it so much easier to mount the coils.

I started with an IGO-L and while I do love it, my IGO-W, Smok Scar, and EHPro Nimbus clone all have post holes and it's a lot more convenient. My IGO-L has been delegated for my iTaste MVP 2.0, since a 2.0 ohm single microcoil is what works best for it. If I would had bought the IGO-W first I probably never would have gotten the IGO-L -- I would have just plugged one of the airholes on the IGO-W to use with my MVP.

Surprised to hear of an airy draw on the W. Im not really a lung hitter but I still had to drill the holes out. I forget exactly what size but they're still under 1/16" which still gives me a little tighter pull compared to a wide open one. I do however have just the single coil with one hole plugged. It works : )

Did you plug it with wick, or what?

Tried wick and cotton first but eventually they both just got soaked and leaked. I ended up putting just a dab of hot glue which doesn't leak, doesn't effect flavor whatsoever, and best of all to look at it u'd never know it was plugged.
