Da South!
I had a auto 510 joy battery die on me...an old clearo leaked into the hole lol. I plan on harvesting the 510 connector from it for my new VV mod...but what about the LED? I don't have a picture, but its a little round board with an LED and what looks like a resistor all hardwired in? how to I test the resistance of this thing? I'd love just to use this instead of buying a new LED...cheap as they are lol. Can a standard 510 LED/resistor setup handle up to 5v of vaping power?

I do have a multi-meter somewhere...just gotta find the instruction book for it lol! I would hate to just hook up a 5V source and see if it can handle the load...just to watch it fizzle..I may use it on something else someday.

Yup.

Multimeter set to ohms over the tiny black square with 2 solder points at each end(surface mount resistor). My resistor has 361 printed on it (you might need a magnifying glass- I sure did), which is 360 ohms.

My guess is no. It's pretty much set for not burning out with ~180mah, so you would probably have to unsolder that resistor and solder in a larger value one. Impossible? No. Difficult? You could say that. I would rather solder a regular 120 ohm resistor leading to the little board (. That should keep the current from burning up the LED.

Good luck!
