Hey i'm Oddmidge or Martin, call me either.

Ok,so i'm not exactly new to the vaping scene my brother had one for about a month before he broke it. He tells me not to buy one that its a waste of money and i won't stick to it and so on and so forth. I am going to try it anyway and actually try to stick to it. This is the set up i am looking at buying.

I am in Australia and this is one of the only shops that ships internationally.

Code:
Joye 510 starter kit (Manual,Matte black)
10ml Dekang PG e-juice e-liquid with 51 flavors (Grape,18mg/ml)
10pc regular empty Joye 510 cartridges for e-cigarette (Black/Round)Carrying cases for e-cigarette (C33)
Total comes to 42.40USD which is about the same price in AUD plus $16 dollars shipping.

I am looking at spending around about 50-70AUD on all of the gear but i can spend a little bit more if needed.

I keep second guessing myself about it so i don't want to spend to much on it all and waste money if i don't use it.

Looks good, but a little shy on specifics. The 510 is a good model, but has a fairly short battery life before recharge. A kit like that probably has 2 batteries, and you may want to get a third. A PCC (Portable Charging Case) is almost a must if you're going to be away from a power source for any length of time. Make sure you have at least 2 atomizers. I'd get at least 30ml of juice, but in smaller amounts and lots of different flavors... you never know what flavors you'll like! If you're not getting a PCC, look into a USB passthrough for when you *are* near power, to save your batteries for when you aren't.

Vapers tend to obsess over not running out of juice, killing their last atomizer, being down to their last battery, etc. Trust me, once you make the switch, it will only take ONE INSTANCE like that to turn you into an obsessive-compulsive overstocker of juice and hardware, lol!

Looks ok, but if I had to pick one thing, it'd be more juice. 10ml would barely get me through 3 days.

I'd check out the following:

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

Maybe pick up a spare atomizer or two, some drip tips, and a bunch of juice. Personally, I'd forget about the spare carts since I'm more of a dripper myself, but since they're so cheap you could probably get a couple and not break the bank. The nice thing about this setup is the battery life. Hiram just mentioned that the battery life on the standard 510 kit is sketchy... this kit should get you about 6-8 hours out of each battery. The last thing you want to have to do is recharge batteries all of the time.

My two cents at any rate.

I'm from Australia and don't know if they ship. I think Heaven-Gifts is cheaper anyway.

I will nearly all ways be near a computer so the usb pass through is the best option for me.

i'd say that's a very good set-up. you've got a variey of juice so you can switch if you don't like something. i started with far, far less.

Hi Oddmidge, and welcome to the forum. Your supply list looks like it will last you for a little while...except I don't see an extra atomizer there. All the batteries in the world won't help you if your atomizer dies. Hopefully, the original kit comes with two. But just check to make sure. Dead attys seem to send people back to analogs pretty fast.

Good luck and happy vaping!!

I agree with DonG. You have everything covered and you will probably upgrade to an ego within a few months. Everything you have will be compatible. I would buy one extra atomizer because, without an extra, you are totally stuck. You have enough e-liquid to get a good start. The unit you are ordering is the one I started with and I haven't had an analog for eight months!

Did your brother maintain the unit? How did it break? Did he clean the atomizer periodically (I do that weekly in alcohol while using my second atomizer).

I think 510's can run a bit hot so you may have to be a bit more careful about not running it dry, not letting the atty get super hot, and keeping it clean. It will kill any atty faster if you let residue build up on it over weeks. And e-cigarette parts are not permanent. Batteries can be charged maybe 150 times before their performance my start to drop, atomizers eventually burn out because they are heating elements and need to be replaced. Plastic carts with stuffing last a good long time if you switch them to better stuffing like blue foam, but eventually the heat and use can make them loose etc.

Still 1 month is short for an atty unless it was misused. There are some 510 copies around and some have inferior attys so you might want to buy a Joye 510.

Good call on the passthrough. Not sure about your suppliers, but the 510 passthrough has a small battery compartment built into the cabling... when you're drawing power, you're actually drawing it from this battery; the USB connection just constantly trickle-charges it. Since they're removable/replacable, I got about half a dozen spare batteries for mine (when I used it). They can be a handy backup in a pinch, if you keep them charged. Just leave the PT plugged in all the time & swap the batteries out after a few hours of not using it, and stick that battery in the "charged" pile. Might be good to have when you're going out on the town.

Oh, and shop locally for a USB adapter for your car's 12v socket :)

I think he lost one and the other one he snapped the thread on the atomizer off or something like that. He's breaks more .... than the average person urinates.

The kit has two attys in it. I'll find some of the alcohol somewhere here in AUS to clean it.

Oh and i don't have a car. I use public transport. That's where it will mainly be used.

Kewl... use the PT whenever you're near a USB port... and a USB-to-wall outlet converter might come in handy... again, locally available.

Next order, you'll want to see what you like and what you don't juice-wise, get more of what you like and some new ones to try. You'll also have a better idea of if the 510 is what works for you, and if not, you'll have some sort of way to guage it. Like, "I need more battery life / warmer vape / more flavor / no led on the end / whatever"...

Until you really get into vaping, it's hard to point you in the right direction, because you've got no common reference point with other vapers. It's like if I set a Bloody Mary in front of you and asked you if it needed more salt, more pepper, less vodka... before you've even tasted it.
