Im about to purchase a V3 and im going to want to use it for 3.7v and 6V. I noticed that the charger that comes with 3.7V says multi charger while the one that comes with the 6V is battery specific. Should i buy the full 6V kit or the full 3.7v kit and just buy other batteries or will the charger that comes with the 3.7V work on the 6v batteries. OR should i get the base kit and get batteries and chargers elsewhere.
The 6v configuration uses 2 x RCR123A LiFePO4 batteries (3v) and these come with a specific charger. They should never be put in a charger intended for 3.7v batteries. Some chargers have a switch to allow you to change the voltage, so you can charge both types, for example the
Ultrafire WF-188 rapid charger.
I can't tell you what to do, you'd have to weigh up the convenience and any other back up you get by buying as a kit against any possible savings you could make by buying different parts from elsewhere. But there's no rule that you have to buy the batteries or charger from the same supplier as the mod. But whatever you do, you should buy high quality batteries (for example AW brand) and I would definitely suggest LiFePO4's for the 6v configuration. In the US, this site seems to have a good selection of quality batteries and chargers -
Lighthound.
And last but not least what are the pros/cons of the different connections 501/801 and what is the waiting time before these ship out?
The Prodigy V3.1
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
I'd get it in the connection you are likely to use most. 510 is probably the most popular these days, but it depends on what atomizers you want to use. If you think you might want to use a different atomiser type temporarily (say you wanted to try out a 901) you should be able to just use
cheap conversion adapters if you don't want the expense of the different Prodigy caps. Can't help with the wait time - you'd have to ask PS directly on that.
